ModeratorSorry for the delays sonic. Busy week at work + assembly burnout. I'm pretty sure I know why the inn thing is happening but the last guy in battle stack overflow might be tough. I might end up doing a band-aid fix but the best way would be to avoid stack overflows altogether with the A.I. but that might be *really* hard to do.

ModeratorAh thats okay, no worries, I've been having a rough time w/ work as well so its fine. Band aid works fine for the time being. once I've got a semi fix for it, would you mind giving it another test run? While you're doing that we'll switch off, and I'll continue on the Yuan Shao mod.

ModeratorAH, just had a stroke of genius (I think?).
What do you people think of the possibility of changing the max number of generals allowed at the billeting? Currently, it is I think 70, but imagine the choices you would have to make if it were only 20 or 10? You couldn't (or wouldn't) be able to just auto-recruit every general you come across just to eliminate them from the field of play, and you WOULD actually have to FIRE people if you wanted someone new. In stock DOAE, this only happens @ the end of the game, and its generally no problem to most to fire the Song brothers, Chen Deng, and Huo Hu :huohu: (sniffs), but imagine having to fire some semi-decent core generals to make room for your favorites?
This, coupled with a steep price increase in officers would make things more interesting for recruitment…. Any thoughts?

ModeratorAbout 80% of the recruiting of officers in the FOW mod is going to be townspeople replaced as officers, that's why I decided to finish mapping it out. Now the "randomness" of getting ub3r generals before you're supposed to is going to be removed. I'll still probably make some officers random, but not many, or at least not the great ones. It also makes it more 'unique' when recruiting officers as they can have their own dialogue, make this mod more story driven rather than just random recruiting all over the place.
Now if we can just find out how to reduce the number of officers in billeting to 14…

ModeratorIs he actually out on the map? I always assumed that not being able to put people on the map is why "Sun Ce" appears in front of Luoyang on that weird sub-map for it.

ModeratorAh, now that you mention it you're right about Sun Ce, and Yuan Shu if I'm not mistaken. I wonder why those are different and I know they don't appear on the main map

ModeratorSonic, if you want someone to appear on the map here's how I would do it (the easy way). Put him in the Sun Ce / Yuan Shu / Zhao Yun spot then change the warps going to that part of the map and to the castle/fort.
