ParticipantGood luck… As long as you don’t do a "Don’t use LP quest".

KeymasterFafnir just killed me as I couldn’t get the Curaja off thanks to FF12’s sweet slowdown problem when other actions are taking place…I think I’m done doing hunts and will just complete the game. I’m only in the mid 50s with my top characters in levels and i havent felt so bored and burnt out from levelling up since Dragon Warrior 2 for NES

Participant*waves his anti-Magicks flag*
You might have won if you’d been using X-Potions, like I did. Items go off much quicker than magic does.

KeymasterThat sounds really cost efficient. I was just about to bitch about Chaos but finally killed his four underlings and won a long battle afterwards. I’m so fucking sick of running out of random status items like Echo Screens. Is Zeromus harder or easier? I think I just have Zeromus and Ultima left?
edit – he was easier

ParticipantDon’t forget Zodiark. Also, for all the status effects I just use Remedies, they don’t cost that much.
Out of the 10 Espers I’ves fought (not including Chaos, Ultima, or Zodiark), I’d say Queklain was the hardest and Zalera was the easiest.
Yes, I know it’s not Queklain, but I prefer that to his new name.

KeymasterIt’s seriously called Zodiark? Hm…
Yeah I prefer Queklain also, it’s what I remember him as from FFT.
Queklain wasn’t that bad when I fought him later. Zeromus was harder than Queklain was and Chaos was the hardest one I’ve fought, by far…Although I died a fair amount of times on Adrammelech and Belias. I have Ultima and this Zodiark one left I guess..

ParticipantWell, best of luck for Zodiark. I temporarily stopped playing this game since christmas (I received a game I longed to get, that is SO2)

Keymasterso i fight 1000 respawned enemies in the feywood to get the behemoth king to appear only to get fucked over on this game’s penchant for delaying moves an extra few seconds because of the animations. square really needs to look into this feature because every half second is important in these later hunts and espers but their terribly imperfect battle system completely ruins everything…
I think I’m going to skip the rest of the sidequests and beat the game before i decide to break it instead
edit – at level 64 the ending was really easy…i assume it was for everyone else?

ParticipantThe slowed spells are due to the graphics engine. If they went with slightly worse graphics, they could have the spells go off quicker.
I didn’t have any problems with the last area after I started using Bubble Belts. The storyline enemies in general aren’t too hard; it’s the sidequest ones that get you.

ParticipantYeah, I read about that. Hopefully it will be a lot less tedious than FFXII has turned out to be.
I haven’t played this in a while myself. I’m working on FFIX and FFX right now.

KeymasterFF10? I was thinking about doing that game sometime soon…what the hell does that acronym you have in the FF10 part of your sig stand for?

ParticipantThe "No Sphere Grid, No Summoning, No Customizing, No Overdrives, No Escaping, No Ne-Encounters, No BlitzBall" Challenge.
No, I’m not crazy. People have made it to the last boss on this challenge (although no one has killed it yet.)

KeymasterSounds like a crazy challenge to me, Taishi.
