ModeratorEasy solution sonic – just only make steeds available end game then you only have a tweek a handful of battles.

ModeratorRight now I'm using a balanced party consisting of:
SQ
GN
DF
ZTai
LX
* ZK
LM (pack mule)
I'll probably end up swapping one of the stronger guys for an INT guy soon but not sure which INT guy yet.
EDIT: I'll try swapping DF for ZTi

ModeratorThe easiest way to do that then would be to jack up the cost. Double or Triple?
And definitely with some characters w/ 255 DP the ability to regenerate TP just makes those an obstacle to be overcome, but they're more or less more doable than before, it's just a matter of timing.

ModeratorYeah, jack up the cost and only sell them in the last towns.

Moderator…or just make them not overpowered…?

ModeratorOr I could just up the DP of end-game officers like I originally had. I was wondering why I had to lower so many DP's on my last few run-throughs, now I know why. It's actually not a big deal to adjust those and I would honestly prefer to up the DP instead as after some quick testing, you really can mash guys up w/ Steeds in your inventory w/ their current DP. So let's see what I can come up with…
Working on opening bio's too… biggest pain of the mod! Do all the backgrounds have to be white/the same color on these? J/w

ModeratorAlso wanted to point out that even though I'm griping about things like multi-behead, early game destroy, etc… this is still an amazing mod! Just wanted to throw some positive in there so I don't seem like I'm being all negative. You're setting an unbelievable standard for these mods!

Is that AC? Remember that if you're using my level based tactic damage enh then higher AC = higher tactic damage dished out.

ModeratorQuote:multi-behead, early game destroy, etc..Got it. But I'd rather know the gripes at this point so I can fix them. I believe there are only about 3 or 4 guys in the game that you'd have to deal with, and those are your ub3r officers who have a reputation of being near godly. If it's just too nuts and impassible though I can change that.
DP? I meant Defense Points

ModeratorI'll just put it this way… No enemy should have the power to wipe out most of your party in one turn. In this mod I think early Xu Chu has that power, Zhang Liao, Zhao Yun, late game Lu Bu, etc…
April 16, 2013 at 1:45 pm #43430sonic.penguin
ModeratorDid you at any point use terror on him? I think the first time you encounter him he is pretty beefy, but that is where the whole game takes a turn for the worst in terms of pain, but it's also a point where you gain a tactic to remedy that. I actually thought the same thing when I encountered him as well, so I can make a tweak to his AP
Zhao Yun and Zhang Liao should only be taking out your stupid guys, which gives players a reason to switch their parties to other guys, even if they are not the greatest, just to avoid the devastating blow of having 2 or 3 guys wiped out in 1 turn, kind of like you can't defeat Zhao Yun w/out a good strategist since he will waste pretty much waste every warrior out there.

ModeratorYa terror is invaluable against the dumb/strong guys. It gets expensive tho!

ModeratorAnd I played a bit this morning, I'm really digging the balanced party of:
SQ
GN
ZTi
ZTai
LX
* ZK
LM (pack mule)
ZTi is good for agility and helps with TP regen more than DF did. SQ and LX are the two MUST haves in any party I would think.
April 16, 2013 at 1:57 pm #43433sonic.penguin
ModeratorThat was really difficult to handle… how to keep SQ useful throughout most of the game without choppin off his balls at certain parts of the game in terms of stats or soldiers. So I figured starting off low while the other guys pick up the slack and then he eventually gains a greater ability to be useful, but getting him into the party before the player had a full 7 was a trick in itself.
