ParticipantI did that midknight. They show up in the list, but not as a picture in the editor. Would I have to go into the game to see if they are working properly?

ModeratorYa I think so. I don't think DoaEditor reads sprites from the ROM right now. It does with portraits though.

ModeratorMaking corrections/improvements on the sprites as I finally got to test them as some of the backs didn't exactly fit them, like Chubby Bubby #26 was too skinny XD. Also, I'm putting some pre-fab names for ones I know and the ones I don't I'm just making one up that describes them. More to come soon. Zhang Fei now wields the Cobra FLEXX

Print it out and read it on airplanes, read it when you're having trouble sleeping, etc… And…it helps you get chicks!

ModeratorTried uploading some stuff to romhacking.net and my goodness what a pain in the rear. Everything seems to get rejected there for the stupidest reasons from JPG's, to websites, to rom-uploads. I submitted the Rise of Lu Bu w/ the 2011 Huo Hu Award information and it got rejected because of that lol. :cheers:

ModeratorOkay, so rather than copying the last few sprites which MOSTLY look identical to the ones I've already copied, I'm using the bottom 1/3 of the sprite sheet to make my own unique class of sprites that will hopefully really stand out, but still keep the style of characters. Pictures to come soon!

ModeratorUnique sprites I made, complete with all stances. Of course Lu Bu updated, but I felt we needed another bearded person and Ninjas are always cool, especially dual wielding ones :) It'd be a cool code to implement, having two weapons, w/out armor or weapon/armor!

A few notes:
*Max portrait size is 48×48
*When you are making portraits you have to color them in NES format which is very specific (its in the guide) but this is how it turns out in game once you use those colors…..
Green= Off White
Blue=Reddish
White=Background Color (usually white, but you can make backgrounds colors "shine through", its how I make multicolored portraits)
Black=Black
*Once done, you will need to reduce colors to 4 in irfanview to make things display properly. (its called decrease color depth).
*Sprites are 16×16 I believe, but only been recently experimenting.
