ParticipantMa Chao's personaliy is very boring and annoying, since he never misses the word justice in his cutscenes. I don't ever recall him being such a superhero-type guy in the novel. Oh well, KOEI can do anything.
Pang De is cool, really strong, and can swing to one side on horseback (uncommon in games before DW6). But bad thing is that even with the speed scroll he's kind of… slow when swinging his weapons (aside from Musou Rage). This prevents him from executing combos such as the C5, which takes four swings and a second-long charge attack.

I'm not sure why people would put Ma Dai over Ma Chao, although the former was a very good officer. And also, I think Ma Dai is superior to Jia Xu in the chances of becoming a playable DW character in the future, mainly for the fact that he has more of a story in fighting and that he is a fighter himself while Jia Xu really… wasn't. I know Zhuge Liang couldn't fight, but that's because he's ZGL, and someone needed to rival Sima Yi.

ParticipantI'm still trying to download this from the Internet for my hopefully legally bought TTDS (is it legal? Someone bought it for me.). For some reason, I can't find a free download link yet…

ParticipantMy favorite in DW4 has always been Ma Chao, so he was the first person I tried out. It turned out he was pretty strong and quick compared to most officers, and definitely has a good range. If only I got a harness, he would be godly.
Although I favour speed, Guan Ping was a good officer. Frankly, the reason I like him is because of his cool sword. It slows him down a lot during battle, but at least it helps him strike strong.
(Zhao Yun is supposed to be the best character, just made suitable for almost everyone, but for some reason I find it hard to control him.)
Ling Tong is a easy-to-use officer, since he's extremely swift and has the stomping move (I think combo 4) which helps you clear everyone out. I use this guy a lot.
(Lu Bu was a disappointment, his moves are not so attractive to me. LOL)
Overall, I think Ling Tong is the best on foot, while Ma Chao is #1 on horseback.

This is a bit embarrassing, but so far I've only been playing on easy and normal modes. I just decided to go with it for a while, and once I get used to everyone and max their ranks and stuff, I could maybe move on to hard to get the orbs and fourth weapons and such. I tried chaos mode for the YTR once with Ma Chao, I made it to Zhang Liang who beat the crap out of me and left me in the red bar… I just shut off the PS2 then in frustration.

ParticipantSorry, I'm very protective about my game consoles… hahaha
And the two other games that I got are NHL 2004 and Dragon Ball Z: Budokai. The latter beats the crap out of me, and NHL is just a fun but common sports-type game, so I mostly just played Dynasty Warriors 5… And I beat half of it already.

ParticipantI already got my Christmas presents, and yeah, it is a week early.
A PS2 that comes along with two games, a second PS2 controller, a Samurai Warriors at the game store, a hockey stick and hockey net, and a Dynasty Warriors 5 that I bought for myself.

ParticipantOh, I play the DS version.
Link
ParticipantWow, this game is so hard… I can't even manage to go to the first cave without being poisoned.
BTW, where did you get the 2-D version?

ParticipantSo… The characters so far are…
LYS – replacing Liu Bei
Yuan Yao – Liu Feng
Niahak – Zhang Fei
Wei Yan – Guan Yu
Wei Shang – Guan Xing
Link – Zhao Yun
Huo Hu XI – Huo Hu
DragonAtma – Song Ren
And the story…
We currently decided that (I think) the Blue Scarves will be the first antagonists, so we don't fight the original guys, no. I'm thinking of including people like Tadakatsu Honda or Lao Tzu to make this more interesting.
