Ah, great old save state with ePSXe! I didn’t have that problem, and could get to 999999 G very fast!
EDIT: Also, still for suiko 1 (I know it’s off topic, but still…) a good way to instantly recruit marco (He tells you that you must win 5000 G for him to come) is to bet 10000 G, and they choose the right one, most of the time, you’ll find the piece like that!

What?!? Gremio wasn’t revived?!? There must be a bug, since when you get all 108 stars, just before the battle of gregminster, Leknaat comes and visit, and she revives Gremio if you have ALL 108 stars.
Good side: When you get Gremio back, you really have 108 stars, and get to see the best ending.
Bad side: When you get Gremio back, he starts out at the level where he left you…

Yeah, it was long for me too to get them. You just have to go in battle with an average party(Let’s say Hero+Kai, Kirkis+Stallion, Tai Ho+Yam Koo) and battle until you get them. I don’t remember exactly the name of the enemies you must defeat to get thoses items, so all I can say is good luck!
BTW, have you been playing all weekend? Getting there took me a week!

Haha, that’s a tactic too, you leave your commander behind, and the enemy units will always try to advance on him, so if you leave him behind, they’ll not be able to get to him, because the get as infantry units of scout units almost at the beginning of the fight.. The other reason why he’s behind, it’s because you never know what type of bad luck you might get: Defeated by a wall, by enemys who just group on the commander (might even be more dangerous when you fight people with strong officers, eg. Liu Bei), and anything else you might think of. You do NOT have to leave your commander behind, this is your choise, but I do prefer leaving him behind.

Already back with that Back attack tactic. Very simple in fact, but takes more time to carry out than the pincer, but might be more effective depending on your characters and units.
Again, I shall demonstrate with Cao Cao as Commander.
Why am I showing a pic of Sima Yi? Because he is the one who will begin that back attack!
Make the one you want to begin that back attack take all your action points, don’t worry about them, then make everyone else, except the commander advance in that same direction.
After two more turns, the one preparing the plot should be 3 squares away from the back of the castle, again, this is important.
What should you do next depend on your team, check before the battle if anyone else can burn walls, if yes, look at the next images, if not, carry out the ploy and destroy the enemy (Dont forget to make the plotting person an infantry unit). If there are more that 1 wall burners, read on.
If you have more than one wall burner, make sure they don’t get ambushed, and get them near the main plotter, change them into infantry. As for the others, place them in an arrow formation in front of the castle, this should lure out the enemy.
With that luring in process, you should now think of making your wall burners behind the castle, which will startle the enemy, and since every enemy units (except the commander) are at the front lines, this should be easy. We shall now see what happens.
(You might lose a unit in the process, don’t worry, with luck, he won’t get killed)
(In the process, you might defeat many enemy generals)
At this point, it is okay to advance your commander, just make sure he’s well protected.

I might try to find some other tactics, but for now I’ll return to editing TNDOAE. Hope theses tactics help people defeat hard leaders like Liu Bei with Yuan Shu.

OK, Finally took my time back into editing that game, so I’ve just completed the battle at Jiang Ling and one of the battles in Nan Zhong.
