ParticipantZhuge Liang has encountered Sima Yi!
Zhuge Liang uses An Sha.
Zhuge Liang takes Sima Yi’s head.
Zhuge Liang’s forces are victorious!
"Ah, ULTIMATE HAPPINESS!"
…you know, we really should be posting some roleplay stuff for this.
Taishi Ci
ParticipantThanks for the update. Now go play as Yuan Shu on Hard.
Taishi Ci
ParticipantYes, I think it’s a roleplay.
An actual DOAE Online would be akward, since all the noobs would probably just hang out in the castles and yell "Where’s my enemy?" and "Prepare to die!" ad nauseum.
Taishi Ci
ParticipantI agree, one thread just isn’t enough for stuff like ‘Ahh….ULTIMATE HAPPINESS’ and ‘Duckz on Easter’ and such.
In other news, now I’m a Treant. Go me.
Taishi Ci
ParticipantWe have 6 people on the forums at once…that’s gotta be the second best record.
Taishi Ci
ParticipantYes, and we have probably the only English DOAE3 walkthrough on the web (and soon we might have one for the SNES version as well).
(Not a shameless plug)
Taishi Ci
ParticipantWell it’s one of my favorite lines of the book.
Taishi Ci
ParticipantWell I haven’t got those myself but I would try starting after 220 since by then Cao Pi has deposed the Emperor.
Congrats on your promotion to A Yuan Shu Groupie.
Taishi Ci
ParticipantOK, I’ve got my goals completed for the first two chapters, so you can stick them on the DOAE3 page now if you wish.
Next up is Jingzhou, my favorite part of the game. I like it because it, and Wu to a lesser extent, is basically starting from a main base (Xinye) and visiting areas around that general area, as opposed to a relentless pressing forward from city to city like most of the game.
Taishi Ci
ParticipantGood thing I’ve moved on from that rank. Of course I’ll be a tree soon, so I guess I’m not out of the woods yet.
Taishi Ci
ParticipantWell it seems between you two we’ve figured out the essentials. I’ll get around to playing this but I need to finish my second run-through of DOAE3 Genesis, and then complete my DOAE2 low-level game. Besides, strategery games were never my strong point.
Taishi Ci
ParticipantI’d say it’s him, the horns give him away. A lot of the DOAE3 SNES people look relatively the same as their NES counterparts (although the transition could have been better, in my opinion).
Taishi Ci
ParticipantHe should have said that at the end of the game.
"You beat DOAE2….Ah, ULTIMATE HAPPINESS!"
Actually, getting those DOAE3 games translated would figure in to gaining ultimate happiness.
Taishi Ci
ParticipantThanks, everyone.
Taishi Ci
ParticipantWell they might put out more side stories like they did with Tactics. Who knows….Suikoden Mystic Quest perhaps?
