I will have the first few videos up sometime tonight. I recorded 3 gameplay sessions of around 20-30 mins. This game is officially NEXT on my Serious Play series. I'll link the playlist when they've all been uploaded.

However, since I think I'm forced to use Liu Bei, Guan Yu, and Zhang Fei, they will fight until I have 5 non-Shu peoples, then they are benched :P

The fact that I'm now able to roll around with Yuan Shao, Yuan Shu, and Ji Ling at the same time instantly made this worth it. The way you had both Yuans join Liu Bei was hilarious and had me in stitches. :D
Up to the Wu invasion of Jingzhou, ridiculously overleveled, and Ji Ling carving everyone up :D

Next time I play through the game, it's going to be with just recruited generals from other forces. No Zhuge Liang, no Pang Tong, no Zhao Yun. Might even do a video playthrough if I feel up to it.
I was surprised at how many generals were good enough to be useful deep in the game, which I always like to see. Would be fun to see someone rolling through Wei with the likes of Xu Rong, Tian Feng, Yuan Shang, etc.

Storyline: Yuan Shu, after being tricked by Liu Biao into giving up his territory, fled to Yuan Shao. Yuan Shao was soon defeated by Gongsun Zan. Yuan Shao fled into Shu. Yuan Shu moved south to Ling Ling and has used his free time to improve his combat prowness as a rebel. With his newly found strength, Yuan Shu takes his combat party outside of Ling Ling to attack unsuspecting groups and take their money.

Also, this is where I’m going to announce some of the secret characters. Characters you’ll fight in random encounters, but can’t get to join you. You won’t fight these guys in any other situation. You’d be wise to run from these characters unless you’re feeling incredibly suicidal.

Funny story about Zhang Bao. In this universe, Zhang Jiao died of illness before the volunteer forces could defeat him, and the Yellow Turbans just collapsed. Somehow, Zhang Bao escaped into hiding. He comes out of hiding now to aid Lu Bu. Some of the Yuan Shao generals are now serving Gongsun Zan after he routed the Yuan forces. Yuan Shao and Yuan Shu fled to the southwest. *WARNING: This is where the difficulty starts to pick up significantly!*

As for the sound to midi question, I don’t think I can answer that. Maybe XZX can answer that :P

Lordyuanshu would be BOTH Liu Bei and Liu Feng…like how Cao Cao leaves then rejoins the party in the DoaE-2 Wei Mod.
I’m not sure if there would be others that fit this role…maybe the characters playing Guan Yu and Zhang Fei would rejoin.
