w00t, I just defeated Han Xuan. It’s easier than I thought after getting the Bow in Wu Ling, and using Yan Re until I puke :P
Sadly, with Wei Yan and Huang Zhong joining, Ji Ling is no longer useful. He goes to the reserve, and Xu Zhe becomes a full-on tactician, by not battling.
Gui Yang was easy for the taking. Zhao Fan is a joke. The gate before Ling Ling went down with ease. One attack, then it was all out, leaving me plenty of power to fight Liu Du with.

YAY! Defeated Xu Shou after about 50 tries :P, but now I have a dilemma. Zhao Yun has joined with only 396 soldiers. Who to replace, who to replace…
Nevermind, I beat Yuan Tan’s army with Ji Ling/Guan Yu/Zhang Fei/Xu Zhe/Zhao Yun, with Huo Hu as tactician and Guan Ping as backup.
Thank goodness for Yan Re! :D
Next up: Ma Yan and Lu Xiang (Whipped), the 2nd gate battle (forgot which generals, but whipped them quickly). Now to an inn to recover, then WE DESTROY YUAN SHAO!

I’m actually gonna fight Jin Xuan next, so that I have some money to spend on inn stays.
EDIT: Whipped Jin Xuan, backtracked to Bo Hai and am now fighting Xu Shou…died twice already because of that ****ing idiot Xu Shou using all those dammed tactics. It’s pissing me off BIG TIME. Luckily I have some things to do now, so I can come back to this later.

They see me throwin' fireballs out of my sword, they runnin'.Going back to the last time I saved, which was at level 11, before I crossed into Yuan Shao’s territory. Got the trident now, and will get Ji Ling. Hopefully he’ll join for free this time around without me having to restart many times.

Tomorrow, I will try to get Ji Ling for free, restarting as many times as necessary. Then we will head north to fight Yuan Shao. This time, better money management is the key.

They see me throwin' fireballs out of my sword, they runnin'.Well, I am on what poker players call "Tilt". I just fell again twice in a row to Han Xuan. At this point, I’m extremely frustrated. Unless I can pull a miracle out of my butt eventually, this will force me to start a new game. :mad:
Another idea popped into my mind. I can totally backtrack, go through every cave I passed up for gold, and pray that I can come up with enough.
*Gullwings back to Xu Zhou to begin backtracking*
Ugh…no success. My downfall is not being able to run away from random encounters, and having my generals constantly die in them. Then having to spend money on ressurects and inn stays…what a travesty :(

They see me throwin' fireballs out of my sword, they runnin'.My only option is to head to Jing Zhou. Now fighting Jin Xuan and Gong Zhi. Shouldn’t be too much trouble. I need gold to bring ultimate happiness to Zhao Yun! :-(
EDIT: Whipped Jin Xuan and Gong Zhi, and it was easier than I thought. I still don’t have enough gold, so I have no choice but to head for Chang Sha, and prepare for a whoopin’ by Huang Zhong and Wei Yan :(
Another EDIT: As expected, this first time was too rough. Huang Zhong and Wei Yan chopped my poor low-level generals in half repeatedly. Now what :cry:
I guess I’ll come back to this tomorrow. For now, I’ll just screw around with my other game, where I already beat it using a party of Taishi Ci, Dian Wei, Zhang Liao, Jiang Wei, and Zhuge Liang (with Pang Tong and Xun Huo backing up) :P

Just beat Xu Shou after dying 3 times in a row. Finally went back to Nan Yang and got the Trident. Ji Ling rules using that ;)
…but now I have reached an impasse. I don’t have the gold needed for the Silver Key. What is Zhang Lu to do? The only thing I think I can possibly do is start conquering Jing Zhou, and likely get routed many times in the process :-(

After Lu Bu betrays me, I’m gonna use one of my difficulty decreasers, hang around, and try to get Ji Ling so that I have someone to take me into Yuan Shao’s territory.
Next up: Run home and tell Liu Bei how terrible Lu Guang is.
EDIT: Ji Ling joined for 1,784 gold pieces. Gave him all of Lu Bu’s equipment, and he’ll lead us into Yuan Shao’s territory.
