haha, naturally Tiger Wang finds a second Red Hare. That’s always a treat, luck is on your side this play through.
What if instead of having Tiger Wang equip weapons we could give him a fixed beast claw or something like that. That’d make him even more unique / realistic…but that’d be kinda hard because if he just has that fixed weapon then you’d have to have his AP go up as his level increases or something

Haha… Lady Wu, at SoSZ, was commenting on the possible complications that might arise from allowing a tiger to tend my horses.

I think James has two versions of DoaE 2.0 one with Dan Fu and one with Tiger Wang.

Some of the pre-1.0 beta builds came with two or three separate versions. One was the standard Pang Tong edition, one was the Wang Edition (which included Wang the Tiger), and one was the Dan Fu edition (which featured Xu Shu through the game). The final release (and most of the final betas) did not include Wang.
Wang is included again in my current build and as soon as I make it public you’ll be able to play with Wang too! There has been less interest in keeping up with and testing my beta builds so I stopped releasing so much (since that takes time). It is understandable that there is less interest anyway. I know people are looking forward to real releases, though. So you’ll be able to recruit Wang soon. :)
There has been some changes to the tactics learned? I’m now on level 27 and I didn’t learnt anything for levels 26 and 27.
Are we still seeing Ce Mian? Or some other new tactics like say Ultima? Meteor? Haha.
Anyways I also noticed Zhuge Liang is now 254. What’s up with the -1 man? Does it make any difference to the tactics that he will be learning?
The next version will feature some pretty hard-core tactic tweaking. Tui Lu and Gui Huan have basically been purged from the game to ensure that your party keeps more useful strategic tactics to balance off the enemies. This would allow you, for example, to keep Yi Xin even at the end of the game.
Unfortunately the only way to do this is to make the intelligence requirements for a few certain tactics 255, so Zhuge Liang has to be reduced to 254 so he doesn’t learn suck tactics. :)
This also allows tacticians to be more varied. There aren’t really just two different types of tacticians now. Zhou Yu, for example, learns both Ce Mian and An Sha, but lacks Bei Ji–and his slightly lower TP title makes it a little tougher for him to Ce Mian through all situations.
Oh I see. That’s really alot of effort put in for this mod.
By the ways, the final Lu Bu battle really caught me by surprise, featuring Zhang Liao and Chen Gong. Fortunately or unfortunately, I was by the waters and Zeal + Torrent by Mr Pang wiped out Chen Gong in one round. So in the end it was not quite a tough fight. But full marks for the creativity definitely!
Yeah, getting in that Zeal+Torrent and killing Chen Gong really helps there. If you leave him alive he can start to make life really difficult. :)
