Terranigma Freak
ParticipantYou mean when this game was released? Sorry, but I don’t know the exact date. I do know that this game was released back in 1999. Possibly the summer of 1999. I might be able to find find the exact date for you, but no promises.
EDIT – According to a Chinese site, this game was released on December 1998. I guess I was wrong about it being released in 99, but I was close… kinda. Still trying to find an exact date, but you can just try and guess it. You have a 1 in 31 chance of getting it right so the odds aren’t too bad.

ParticipantThe game was released in 1998, which Koei began to use their current logo instead of their previous, which was in the ROTK VI. Since then, the current Koei logo has shown up in all of their games preceding sousouden (Legend of Cao Cao).

ParticipantCould you submit the game info to GameFAQs, if you know enough about it? They already have sections for the other two Legends games, but not for CCZ.

ParticipantI just noticed your FAQ is missing some duels. Had I known earlier, or bothered to to look for duels, I would have got’em for’ya. Anyways, I noticed that after entering Battle 41: Cheng Du.
Turns out if Zhao Zilong(Zhao Yun) moves next to Xiahou Dun the two will duel for abit and say alot of stuff I cant read. After afew passes they go for a final strike and Xiahou Dun comes out the winner with Zhao Zilong dieing.

ParticipantI do need to work on this again soon, busy playing Disgaea 2 right now but I will get around to it. Hopefully when I do I can better integrate all the extra info from TF and others.

ParticipantAh, that’s cool.
Anyways, just for when you do… If you pick the second option for Cheng Du you have to kill Liu Chan instead of just moving Cao Cao next to’em.

ParticipantGood to know. I only played those last levels one time through for the most part. If you spot anything else I missed or have a different strategy, let me know.

I could have sworn that duel’s been listed. Well I know I posted the huge list, so whether Taishi Ci actually put it up is a different matter. Let me look back at this thread to take a look.

ParticipantHey TF, do you have a list of all the map items (stuff you pick up whenever you reach one of the forts or villages)?
Also, on multiple playthroughs, does the money you get for beating the levels increase? All the rewards I had written down from my last game seem to be short by 100 gold this time.

ParticipantI’m not sure about all the items being listed, but I could take a look. As for the amount of gold, I have no clue. I never paid any attention to it nor is there a guide that tells you the amount of gold you get. Perhaps the amount is different due to how fast or slow you beat a chapter?
BTW, Dark Gaia is the last boss in Terranigma.

ParticipantThat might be right, for the gold. I’ll figure it out at some point.
I know about Dark Gaia, I’ve beaten Terranigma before. Still, he wasn’t as hard as Bloody Mary or that Robot in Beruga’s base.
Hey, does anything special happen if you kill everyone on level 11 (saving Dian Wei)? I assume Cao Cao says something different at least.

ParticipantI’ve killed tons of people, but I don’t ever recall killing everyone for the Battle of Wan.
Taishi Ci, I meant that Dark Gaia’s me on Gamefaqs.

ParticipantWell I figure if you’ve got a godly amount of luck you’d be able to kill them all.
On you being Dark Gaia, I figured as much from your last post.

ParticipantIn the duel between Xiahou Dun and Zhao Yun, Zhao Yun said that no more running back and they start to fight. Both Xiahou Dun and Zhao Yun laugh as they fought a great duel and as much as they want to be friends now and in the next life, the duel must end. So both of them finishes the duel with one blow which Xiahou Dun came out as the winning and Zhao Yun dying. Before he died, Zhao Yun said that it was honor to be killed by Xiahou Dun. Xiahou Dun felt emotional and said thank you, Zhao Yun.
And in the ending for blue path, the demon king is in his Dark Warrior(Xuan Wu) secretly planning to recover from his wound when Cao Cao comes barging in. Cao Cao said that it’s all over, but the demon king refuses to submit saying that everyone are just mere mortals and that he is the all powerful demon king, but suddenly he can’t move as Zhuge Liang took the opportunity to kill the weakened Demon King by destroying all of his veins, which the perishing demon king said that he cannot be killed by a mere mortal and he is all that powerful (yeah, right). Then a dying Zhuge Liang comes back into senses talking to a shocked Cao Cao, who said that he has killed the demon king and Cao Cao attempts to heal him, but Zhuge said it’s no use as he has destroyed all of his veins, and that he has betrayed his lord Liu Bei and he’s sorry for it before he dies. Guan Yu then comes in and has apparently heard the dying Zhuge Liang’s last words. Guan Yu was about to kill Zhuge Liang, but instead agreed to have Zhuge Liang buried near Liu Bei and Zhang Fei, as that would’ve been what Zhuge Liang (the good one) had wanted anyway.
The scene goes to a mountain near Wu Zhang Plains a month later. Cao Cao has ordered Xu Shu to go see him. Xu Shu said that has he demolished the altar yet which Cao Cao said yes, but it was delayed due to Zhuge Liang’s funeral. Xu Shu finds a letter written by Zhuge Liang in Jiang Xia and gives it to Cao Cao, which he reads.
The letter was writtened around some time after Chi Bi, which Zhuge Liang begins by that whoever reads this letter, hopefully Xu Shu, Pang Tong, or anybody else able can help him out as he’s feeling that he won’t be living much longer. He’s not afraid of dying, but he fears that he would cause sufferings to others. He begins to talk about the Demon King’s rebellion during 3000 years ago and now he has awaken, now looking for a perfect host. The Demon King originally wanted to possess Liu Bei, but instead possessed Zhuge Liang as Zhuge Liang voluntarily agreed let him take over, not wanting his lord Liu Bei’s heroic image to be tainted. He stated that the SE winds during Chi Bi were the works of the demon king. He has done all he could to fight against the demon king, but eventually will lose control of his body. He hopes that if that does happen, he hopes that whoever’s strong enough will kill him. (Ironically that Cao Cao has weakened him real bad, but in the end, Zhuge Liang killed the demon king).
Cao Cao finishes, stating out of everyone who has suffered, Zhuge Liang suffered the most. Cao Cao then curiously asked why Xu Shu would help the demon king by building the fake Green Dragon (Qing Long) Altar, Xu Shu stated that he knows that the demon king is able to revive the dead, which Cao Cao knew that Xu Shu really had wanted his mother revived. Xu Shu then goes tell this to the remaining Shu officers.
The final scene is at Liu Bei’, Zhuge Liang’ and Zhang Fei’ burial site, where Guan Yu is cleaning it for one last time. Cao Cao comes and pays respect to the deceased. Guan Yu then asks permission from Cao Cao for him to leave as he wanted to realise his brother’s dream, which Cao Cao grants. Later, Xun Yu, Xiahou Dun, Xu Zhu, and Diao Chan comes. Xu Zhu wanted to go back to his home village and continue farming while Diao Chan wants to spread the true meaning of the Yellow Turban teachings (At just before Zhang Lu surrendered to Cao Cao, Diao Chan told Cao Cao that her parents were worshippers of the Yellow Turban teachings.), not the one which led to the Yellow Turban Rebellion, with her two fellow worshippers. Cao Cao grants them to leave and then feels a little sad, which Xun Yu and Xiahou Dun consoles him, telling that they will stay with him forever and there’s work to do. The scene ends after they left the burial site.
That’s how I remembered the blue path ending.
