One trick for that is that you store one Zheng’s letter in Ji Zhou, and once you get with Guan Yu, in Luo Yang, get it from the store! You’ll have a Zheng’s letter with Guan Yu!
NOTE: I haven’t tested, so you’ll have to tell me if I was right… or not.

In the equip menu, you can equip weapons, armors, hats, shields and accessories (This is where you equip the steeds).
I just got into Wu right now, finished buying myself equipment.
