My brother always did that: get to the last level and then forget about the game. Maybe RPGs are just too long?
Another reason a lot of people quit before the end… the much harder/longer battles are not part of the story line.
That is why I don’t finish every bit of some games. FFXII is a good example of too much crap outside the main story line.
FF2 US Version is my all time favorite. I need to download it.

ParticipantI kind of went in w/ an open mind on this… to be let down.
It was different to not have a free area to roam around in.
My fingers hurt from playing it forever.
I think I was too used to all the nice things you can do w/ an actual console to really appreciate what that little cartridge had inside of it.

ParticipantTo answer the original question: Mindless killing.
I mean, get a good Musou bar, after you build your character, & find a batch of enemies that make the system groan & slowdown, then hit your musou!!
Ahhh…
They need more in depth stories. DW5Empires… finding stories kinda made it worthwhile, but I like a more straight on story line. I don’t think I will ever be satisfied.

ParticipantLate on this… but I liked this game a lot.
Most involved non-mmorpg that I have played.
I kinda gave up on it when I started fighting Yazmat. I mean… You can only take so much when you’re level 81 fighting this thing… soo many hp.
I got him down to 4 bars & it took me forever to get him there…
I got bored w/ the game & never finished Yazmat or Omega, I beat everyone else, though.
On all the forums I visited, you either find people who love or hate this game. They say no plot, storyline, blah blah blah… just play the game! :D
