ParticipantYeah, I think a lot of strategy games work like that.
Taishi Ci
ParticipantOk, I fixed it. Sorry I haven’t updated this in a long time. Do you know of any complete english guides for this game?
Taishi Ci
ParticipantI like 8’s intro as well.
Jojo’s Bizzare Adventure review? I demand gameplay footage.
Taishi Ci
ParticipantGood job. Yeah, if Huan calls Shu inside then you have saved Nanami and you can get the best ending.
I know there are some ending descriptions that can change depending on stuff you do in the game: Hai Yo’s changes if you complete the cook-off game, Clive’s changes if you complete his quest. Not sure if there are any others.

ParticipantNot really, unless you wanted to use them against Luca. You can just come back when your castle level is at the max level and they will join.
If you’re going for 108 stars, make sure you don’t spend too much time on Gordon. Start trading now if you can, Gold Bars and Ancient Texts work the best as far as I know.

ParticipantThat event won’t happen until after you recapture Muse, but there is no time limit for it. I assume you have to do all the other ones first.
Taishi Ci
ParticipantYou can defeat him in Kyaro, but he will just bring in more troops and you’ll be captured anyway. It’s not worth it.
Rowd disappears sometime after you fight Luca anyway.

ParticipantIf you don’t care about getting Futch and Humphrey, then just save before you enter Matilda, get them from the village, and then have them help your party members level up to around level ~30 or so. Then just kill everyone off. When you continue from your save, your time will be back to where it was but you get to keep your levels.
This is the only way to kill Rowd in Kyaro without Gameshark or hours of grinding in the mountains.

ParticipantI know you can get through during the peace treaty though, I’ve done it so I could recruit Long Chan Chan in Rockaxe. The guards move closer together at some point which makes it harder to push the gate but it is possible.
It is possible to recruit Futch and Humphrey as soon as Toto if you’re willing to go fight the Harpy. It’s harder, but Humphrey’s defense is so high that you should be able to survive. I think you can also get them during the peace treaty in case you forgot to get them during Matilda.

ParticipantHere’s the Clive’s Quest checklist:
Muse (after losing the Fort but BEFORE the exit is sealed up, check the alley east from the bar, go north from there, then try to leave): no time limit
South Window (Clive’s standing in a corner near the exit, talk to him after you have used the boat at least once and he’ll join): no time limit
Lakewest (with Clive, enter the inn and talk to the innkeeper): under 10 hours
Forest Village (with Clive, check the tree in the back, earliest you can do this is right after Two River): under 12 hours
Rockaxe (with Clive, enter the inn, you can do this while visiting Matilda, and can probably do it later during the peace treaty by using the Matilda glitch*): under 14 hours
Radat (with Clive, enter the bar, earliest is right after coming back from Matilda but before Radat is captured by Kiba): under 15 hours
Muse again (with Clive, go up to Jowstone Hill, you can only do this after you recapture Muse): no time limit
Sajah Village (with Clive, enter the town, once you finish the last strategy battle leave L’Renouille and walk northeast to find it): under 20 hours
Now, see if you can finish it AND get all 108 stars (I did it).
*This is where you go to the Muse-Matilda checkpoint and just push against the gate, it will move up/down and you can walk on by. This can be done anytime from Toto to Kuskus, and you’ll have another chance later during the peace treaty.

ParticipantFun fact: when you’re at the cliff in the beginning, if you keep refusing to jump Rowd will send more soldiers. If you kill 108 or more groups of soldiers, the opening will be in color instead of monotone.
Did I do it? Yes. Was it worth it? Maybe.
Taishi Ci
ParticipantYou just have to use his overdrives, I don’t think it matters whether you kill something with it.
Taishi Ci
ParticipantTidus: Just keep using his Overdrives to get new ones.
Auron: After you kill Spherimorph in Macalania Forest, there will be Spheres scattered around Spira that you have to pick up to unlock more Overdrives.
Wakka: Win new Overdrives from the Blitzball tournaments.
Kimahri: Use Lancet on enemies to learn new stuff.
Lulu, Yuna, and Rikku always have the same Overdrives.
Taishi Ci
ParticipantWell I figure if you’ve got a godly amount of luck you’d be able to kill them all.
On you being Dark Gaia, I figured as much from your last post.
Taishi Ci
ParticipantThat might be right, for the gold. I’ll figure it out at some point.
I know about Dark Gaia, I’ve beaten Terranigma before. Still, he wasn’t as hard as Bloody Mary or that Robot in Beruga’s base.
Hey, does anything special happen if you kill everyone on level 11 (saving Dian Wei)? I assume Cao Cao says something different at least.
