You’re saying the actual battle at that gate is optional? That is, you can just proceed to the next castle and then Chengdu? Interesting.
I refuse to believe that line is in the script from CAPCOM, it’s just so ridiculous, even by DOAE standards. Of course, it’s still hilarious to see it.
The problem I have with MMORPGs is that they have so much to do, which is great for a couple of weeks, but then you find that only a few things are really important depending on the game. I can’t seem to stay on any given MMORPG for more than two months at a time.
MUDs are always an option, with the literate MUDs having some decent people, but I never really got into them either.
I know what’s coming up, just counting the minutes….
And it’s nice to see that someone at Capcom put so much effort into a one-line avatar.
I’m thinking the Jingzhou cave guys won’t move if you don’t complete Yiling. Not sure about Ba though.
I was pondering whether Yiling and Ba (whichever castle is after the boat from Fushui) are mandatory to complete.
I just haven’t played that file in a while, and I’ve got schoolwork taking up my time at the moment.
I played that game for a short time, I think it was from there. They had artwork displayed on the loading screens.

Well I beat it. Not bad for a demo, although I’m not completely familiar with RPG 2k. I do think you had the encounter rate a little too high though, having a battle a step after getting out of your last one is pretty strange. Also, can the boss in the Yong An chest be killed in the demo?
