ParticipantO: can you do that to the item sets yet, i was able to mod the damage formulas to be more even and not over powered, i got tp to max at 500 and grow even, and i set the tactics to only need 25 int to learn, still working on map edit and gear changes, i figured out how to increase inventory slots by 4, but i can't add new gears yet

ModeratorOddly enough I force it to be chapter 1 in $6026 when the game starts and if you run straight to Qing Zhou we still have the 40k rebel forces. So I guess I have to use the debugger and find out where that's coming from.
Of course a band-aid fix is to just make it a long walk to Qing Zhou so that you have to get into a fight along the way. Then you wouldn't see the problem unless you were using a no random encounters cheat, in which case you *should* be punished with 40k rebel forces :twisted:

ModeratorI used the debugger to chase this down a bit. It looks like the "Y" value is off when looking up rebel force soldier counts which is causing it to pull values a few bytes too early in the ROM which are ridiculously high. I'm thinking it might have to do with us messing with the ASL ASL ASL stuff to get 8 tactics to work. If that's the case I can live with this minor 'bug' as it would be unlikely that a player would run straight to Qing Zhou with no fights.
But I'll still trace it to see if it's a simple fix.

ModeratorDont know why, but for some reason Im getting Random Pirate Force's added to my billeting ehehe.
Also to the IPS patch there should be a tweak done to random encounter rebels/brigands/pirates AGI. 5 Agility and they just get slaughtered before even getting to hit. Maybe like 50/75/100/110/120/130/140 growth per chapter?
