ParticipantSorry, triple post again.
Yesterday, I captured the whole map with Cao Cao at hard!
I finally found a way to break through Sun Quan and Liu Bei’s main force!
The AI in this game makes sure that the defending general always sends his troops at front. Just send yours all around, and attack the commander by behind! The enemy won’t know what hit them! (~Cao Pi, DW5)
For the new ending (I’m guessing that nobody else had it yet.) I’ll post a gif, because there are about 57 images. (40 of them are each cities)

ParticipantWow, today I figured out that the Y button makes the cursor move faster. Also, in the officer stats, the bottom right one is leadership ability, officers with that stat being high get more bonus action points in battle. I think the stat under the troop count is stamina and I know that the stat under that is what the officers "Dueling" attack is. When they have the moon text with a hyphen before it, it’s a typical duel, anything else is either a barrage that attacks enemy soldiers or a barrage that drains enemy health.
You have to remember, though; the very thing that makes you a nerd is that your enthusiasms are totally unrelatable and non-marketable to most of the world. For example, anime and celibacy. - Seanbaby

ParticipantIs there also an explanation of which officers can burn walls with the duel command?

ParticipantI think it might be the thing under the dueling attacks, since Zhuge Liang and another guy who can do it (The officer that joins Liu Bei early on that isn’t Mi Zhu) have the same text for it.

Who might this be? One of the Chengs?

ParticipantThis guy

He has no fighting ability at all, but he can burn down castle walls

KeymasterYeah that’s the Shu guy with Liu Bei at the beginning right? I noticed that too, that a lot of people with low strength can take out walls well. I wonder if one of those stats is for that…

ParticipantFinally, I've got it, a gif for the ending I've got with Cao Cao. Sorry for the text above the image, I can't do anything about it since I can't pay for the full version of that stupid gif maker, and it's the only one I found…
EDIT: DANG IT! THAT PROGRAM DESTROYED THE WHOLE GIF! I'll have to make it again…
REEDIT: It should work correctly, enjoy the ending without sound!

ParticipantNow you have to do the same thing with Yuan Shu.
ARE YOU A BAD ENOUGH PRETENDER TO CONQUER CHINA?

ParticipantI’d like to come back to the age of the characters, which I can confirm, as I’ve compared the number which I thought was the age of Cao Cao, and I checked it in the yean 220 (In the game). I just compared with Cao Cao’s age at the same year in ROTKX, and it’s a perfect match! So sometimes, maybe instead of having problems in one of your cities when hearing the negative tune, it might just be an officer who died. In the game that I played with Cao Cao and he died, he died very old, compared to the age he died in actual history. He died at 78 years old instead of 65 or 66 in history. There must be some kind of lifespan extender somewhere…
EDIT: As for Yuan Shu, I tried… In 5 years I was stuck with one city surrounded by Cao Cao… Surprisingly enough, he didn’t get rid of me before the year 214, which got me that image again…

(NOTE: This is the screenshot from when Cao Cao died, but for Yuan Shu you just have to change some symbols and it’s the same.)
REEDIT: I might stop playing and restart on game making, it currently just isn’t advancing…

ParticipantDouble post, I should be more careful next time…

Definitely Pang Tong, don’t you think? His war is 1, his leadership is average, and the three other stats (except soldier count) are above average. Don’t you think? It looks like the sprite from DOAE2 anyway.

ParticipantIt’s most likely him. Only about four people in DOAE2 have hair-buns like that, and this guy looks like Pang Tong’s avatar anyway.

ParticipantWell, I?ve been putting together an English Playguide for this game, which I have done in particular thanks to screenshots posted by CommieCatGirl (I know his new name starts with a ‘Z’ now) and other conversation here, and afterward, I went on trying to fill in all the gaps. Because it seems like there are portions of things like the officer profile missing, and because I?ve got translations thanks to playing around and some members of SoSZ (particularly Zhai Rong), I wanted to share them back with everyone here. :)
Officers Overview

Officer Profile

Now there is one here that we?re not sure of?the one above the officers special ability (be it Duel, Barrage, or whatever). The first character appears in dictionaries, but the second does not. One fellow translated the first character as ?letter? (as in that you mail), while Zhai Rong, who did most of this translation, recognizes it as ?believe? or ?trust?. Is it some sort of loyalty or charisma ranking? Hopefully someone here knows!
Battle Menu and Profile

I don?t know what ?scouting? actually does, but that?s what it is.

And LordYuanShu, maybe I can submit this as a guide for LordYuanShu.com when I am done. All I have to do is log in on your home page, edit the document, and submit it? I?ve been hoping to put a system like that together at KMA for a little while, but I don?t like any data management tools?I?m stuck making one just for KMA. Lots o? work, that task. Anyway, it would be fun to share this stuff with LYS.com.
