I just discovered this site, and I have to express how AWESOME this is!
DOAE is one of my most favorite games from my Childhood, I've even done livestreams of my speedruns that I have done on it in recent years.
Seeing these mods breathes new life into one of the best games I have ever owned, you sir are a genius!

Yeah, the two that caught my eye instantly were this one and the Sengoku mod.
I think I'll have more than enough on my plate with just those :D
I also enjoyed DOAE as a kid. After so many times renting it from our local store they eventually let us rent it for free, heh. I really should get some youtube footage of these mods…
Anyways, I hope you enjoy them and look forward to your feedback on what was good and even bad so we can all make future mods bigger and badder, and hopefully as good as the Jin Xuan mod :P
Are there any reported issues with the NEStopia emulator over the FCE Ultra emulator?
Not a big deal, it just happens to be the one I've always used.
I've never tried that one but the issue with most emulators and these ROMs is that a lot of emulators don't like the expanded ROM. You'll know this because a lot of portraits and sprites will be garbled. If your portraits and sprites are garbled I'd recommend switching to FCE Ultra.
Sure enough had to use the FCE Ultra emulator afterall, started playing last night.
Man you sure are a mad genius, the game is so much tougher now I love it!
When I first got started I accidently wandered into the Wei blockade and I couldnt stop laughing because of how badly I was raped.
I'm at the Hu lao gate so far, I cant wait to see the rest!
Ah, that is midknights favorite part of the mod, heh. Glad you're enjoying it thus far as it is a far step above the original which was just 1-hitters all over the place… got a lot of complaints for that one.

Geez, you werent kidding, I'm running into one hitters everywhere.
A secret ambush by Dong Zhou, and then Zhu Rong, I managed to re-defeat Dong Zhou but Zhu Rong is WAY out of my league lol.
Can I ask how much longer the mod is than the original game without any major spoilers?
I just got through the Sun Quan/Deng Ai fight, its been a real blast so far!
EDIT- Oh and I'm level 51 now and I just found out that having steeds allows you to hit twice *Facepalm* I wish I had known that sooner lol.
P.S. I was able to recruit Xiahou Dun prior to the Cao Pi bridge fight, is that intentional? Not that I mind, it took him out of the enemy party so now I dont have to fight him anymore.
