What scenario are you playing in?
I recently started a a new one of the first scenario as Liu Bei. I got pretty lucky, Cao Cao attacked me fairly early, but I had Zhang Fei swoop in behind him and take him out in a duel. Afterwords, Sima Yi joined me, his action point bonus as a commander is the same as Zhuge Liang.

Oh wow, I found something with the code that was posted earlier. If it’s on during a battle and you heal someone, their total HP increases to be five digits long. I’m using NEStopia and it seems that it only changed when I started a new game with the code on then just equipped weapons and went straight out into the field. It didn’t change them for my other games.

That reminds me of the sounds I have on mine. I have the inn tune from DoaE as my turny-offy sound, the Diddly-do conformation sound of RottK8 as my promt/conformation sound, and I think the rest are sounds from Civilization2.
