About the blacksmith: He’s in Ba… And please, you do not need more than 2 Sharpened sword, in chapter 2 you’ll get much better swords…
About the "endless" desert: The solution is simple: Read the mountain. Go up. That’s already a VERY big hint.

Hey… Does anyone here forget about XiaoHou Dun… He’s pretty good general to recruit :D
Just go to Xin ye after you get Pang Tong or Shu Map… Use Zheng letter to Liu Bei (You’ll get Ma Su) then talk to him… (You’ll get XiaoHou Dun) :D
My Favourite "recruited generals" are Zhou Yu, Lu Bu, XiaoHou Dun
I remember when I was entering "Four Country" region… My favourite members party are:
Zhou Yu
Lu Meng
Zhao Yun
Guan Yu
Zhang Fei
*Zhuge Liang
Yi Ji (Just for to talk to Ma Liang and Ma Su)
But I never recruit Huang Zhong in Han Castle cause I don’t wanna to miss the duel of Guan Yu vs Huang Zhong :D or recruit Lu bu before he rebelled… Playing DOAE2 is not fun if I don’t fight Lu Bu… :lol:
Hmmm… I never revive Pang Tong either… Coz I don’t know how… :lol:
And never recruit Yang Huai before I fight him… (You never get Bronze Key to unlock the watergate for sure)

DW5XL Extreme mode is one of my favorite mode in the game…
But still I haven’t get the ending scene… even I have pass 42 missions.
Lu Bu and Dong Zhuo are play as antagonist role there, so if we act like criminal (Attack villages or Kidnap girls) they would be happy to serve us :D
But if we have Liu bei, Sun Jian or Cao Cao, they’ll surely rebel…
Yeah you’re absolutely right about fire tactic… It’ll increase points we can get in every stage.
My favourite is play as Lu meng officer… I buy arrow skill and pierce arrow skill and keep pressing "charge" button in every battle… It’s a lovely to see it… :D (But without ice arrow skill) :lol:

I have finished this game… but with some cheat when in "endless desert " (before the last battle).
Well, it’s hard enough to find the way to zhang shiao palace.
So I opened RPGMAKER 2K, and find it through there… :D
Did you figure out about sharpened sword in Yong An blackmith?
You know… it just like buy a sword without have to unequip liu meng’s iron sword… and can get as much as possible till we run out of money…
