Chaz Ashley and Alys Brangwin begin their journey to the Town of Piata. The professor of the Motavia Academy has requested some help, more info when you get there.
Chaz gets separated from Alys at the top floor of the academy. She is just to the west of you, then you should talk to the scientists in the room to learn more about the Algo Solar System. Planet Parma has been destroyed but you are in Motavia and also there is a Dezolis Planet.
The north room in this top floor has the professor of the academy. He has a strange request – monsters have been populating the basement of the academy and he wants them exterminated. The professor probably knows the reason why but he won’t tell.
Go downstairs and north in the middle room to meet the scientist Hahn Mahlay. He wishes to come with you as he wants to know what happened to his friend Professor Holt at Birth Valley. Alys offers to bring him along – if he pays 100 meseta for the joyride. Hahn agrees. He begins at level 1, as does Chaz. Though in terms of how they develop, they couldn’t be more different. Alys has some experience, she is at level 7.
Motavia Academy Basement
As you enter the basement of the academy, you will see a monster run off. Turn north for a monomate, then go all the way west for 100 meseta. Then, take those stairs you passed up.
The Xanafalgue’s and jj are not too troublesome with Alys able to hit multiple targets. Hahn’s Res will heal you if need be. Chaz has it too. Travel west a ways in b2 then north for an Antidote. Rest up, then go down the west stairs.
Strange tubes are down here, along with the huge green Igglanova to the north. Use Vortex with Alys on the Igglanova and attack with the others (healing with Hahn when need be). The Igglanova first uses fission to spawn Xanafalgue’s. It will take about 4 or 5 Vortex’s to take down the Igglanova, so concentrate on it and then mop up the weaker enemies.
Everyone decides that the professor can probably explain this. Alys bullies him into talking about what really happened. Evidently Professor Holt and others stumbled upon an advanced ancient society but an evil magician Zio confronted the principal of the Academy, telling him to not go any farther.Alys, Chaz and Hahn go as Hahn spends another 300 meseta using you two as escorts.
Mile Village
Northeast of Piata is Mile Village, a small desert town that is nearly being overran by quicksand. Buy two Slashers here for Alys, and a Stel-Sword for Chaz. Turns out that Birth Valley is northeast of here, in the town of Zema. The folks of Mile think something happened to Zema though.
Zema Town / Birth Valley
Hahn learned a decent attack magic spell on the way here, Wat. The villagers here have been turned to stone!
North is Birth Valley. New enemies here, like the Flattrplant which likes to evade and use Acid Breath. Take the first right for a CrbnShield. This would be nice for Hahn, yes it would. Sometimes later on I like to give Hahn two shields, since he can be used for techs exclusively after a wall. Use a Hunt-Knife or two with him now, but later on without at least one shield, he is too easy a target to not get chopped down. Return west and go all the way north for a monomate, east for the stairs.
Take the east route in B2 for Crbn-Suit, great armor for anyone. Further west and north is Professor Holt and the other researchers, turned to stone. Evidently, they can be cured by Alshline according to Alys. It can be found in Molcum, a Motavian village to the south. It will only cost Hahn 500 meseta for this trip.
Molcum Village
Head straight south with the big chain of mountains to the left of you. It is not really that long of a haul south, but look east for the village when the mountains open up.
Unfortunately, the village is trashed. But Rune Walsh is here. He seems to know Alys but Chaz and him don’t get along. Anyway, Rune tells you if you want Alshline, go to the village of Tonoe, another Motavian village. Rune even decides to go with you.
Check out this Rune character. He has a sick ability with Hewn, also some attack spells in Wat, Foi and Gra. Rune is another magic-heavy character who you may wish to just give a shield to for the added defense instead of having a weak cane to attack. That said, Rune is at level 17 right now and should be fine defensively for a while, but it’s something to consider down the road.
Krup Village
East of Molcum is Krup Village. Rest and buy some armor here if you wish, like Crbn-Helm, Crbn-Crown, and Crbn-Suit. Not much to do here really.
Sand-Newts litter the lands east of here, but look for a cave as you travel east a ways. If you see quicksand, you went too far east.
Valleymaze
This should be a cinch says Rune! Watch Rune show off his studliness by using Flaeli on the rocks. It’s magic not seen on this planet before.
Go inside Valleymaze, take the northeast path for an Antidote. Ignore the north path as you go west and take the northwest exit to a new area. Pummel the enemies with Rune’s magic, you can rest soon. Plus, you can see how dominant Rune really is.
Northeast in the new area for 300 meseta, then back west and north. You’re out of the Valley Maze.
Tonoe Village
Crazy Motavian music for these little blue furry Motavians. Check out the little markets to the east, they have really nice stuff – but you surely can’t afford it all unless you were grinding levels for ages. The weapon shop though has TitnSlashr (buy 2), Titn-Sword and Titn-Dagger, buy them all. This should evaporate most of your Meseta, but go to the armor shop and spend the rest. Hopefully on Titn-Mail for Alys to cover up the fact she has two Titn-Slashers. You will notice that Chaz is starting to get a pretty high attack relative the other characters. Talk to the villagers, they talk up their Titanium. The northeast tent has some interesting Motavians for sure.
Grandfather Dorin is here, the guy Rune came to see. Two Motivians that escaped from the Molcum disaster are here. Talk to Dorin and keep refusing until he asks you if you want Alys Brangwin‘s (aka the Eight Stroke Warrior) measurements. Now you’ll talk some more. Rune has to leave the party to speak with Grandfather Dorin, but Gryz joins you to escort you to the Alshline. Before you leave, Rune tells Chaz not to get the idea of taking on Zio yet.
Rest up and go to the back. Without Rune, that’s a big loss and you will see his value now that he is gone. Gryz though is a good warrior if not a little one-dimensional, but put him in front with all of his Titn gear.
To enter the Tonoe storage, go north and Gryz will open the door with ease. The enemies downstairs will not be easy, however. The Abe Frog’s in particular are annoying and can poison you. Critical hits could put you in serious danger here especially if you didn’t buy much armor in Tonoe. Hahn in particular is probably going to get killed if you don’t give him at least a shield and the Crbn-Shield. It is likely that Chaz will learn Crosscut around here if he hasn’t already – it is a brilliant skill, try it out.
Go northwest for a Monomate. The northeast end of this area has 100 meseta, and straight north is the stairs to b2. In this new spot, go west, south, and east when you can. Lots of rooms to check here, with the first one to the south netting you 500 meseta. The southeast room has 300 meseta. This is all for treasures, so go all the way west, south, and down the stairs to b3.
You are in the southern part of the room. The stairs down are east of you, so go there if you want to rush through but some treasures are spread in the northern part of the room. A Titn-Crown is in one of the first northeastern rooms. West of this for an Antidote. That’s it, so take the southeast stairs down.
Work your way west, north, and into the cell-area. Grab the Escapipe and Alshline. The party will talk about going back to Zema, and Gryz asks to come with. “Yea whatever, let’s hurry” says Hahn.
Zema
The trip back to Zema is a long one from Tonoe – all the way through Valleymaze, then west past Molcum and north a bit. Upon entry, the Alshline is distributed to the townmembers and the stone curse is broken, and everyone seems to be fine. Professor Holt is raving about Birth Valley and checking out what else is there. Alys decides to rest.
Hahn talks of his plans to leave for the academy and Gryz wants to go find Zio. Meanwhile, someone screams and an Igglanova monster has appeared at the Birth Valley gate. This is not hard at all though – use Crosscut and Vortex for heavy damage. Gryz can do a bit himself as can Hahn with Wat. Not a hard battle.
Afterwards, Hahn wants to go further into Birth Valley to see what the Professor has stumbled upon. This trip only costs him his wedding fund of 1000 meseta. Rest to restore your hp / magic / skills, then go to the armor shop. The Grpt-Suit is a nice one for Hahn and with Grpt-Shields. This will clean out your meseta quick but get a Broad Axe for Gryz, a nice increase on his attack and defense.
Birth Valley
As you head into Birth Valley you will notice the weaker enemies like Zoran Bult’s. You can just run from them, going north and take the second path east to continue to b2. Head straight north to see some of the researchers on the ground from the monsters that spewed out. Somehow Professor Holt got past them and is deeper into Birth Valley.
Bio-Plant
Sweet music in the Bio Plant. Head north to the next area, and in the following spot you will be in the north end. East for a Cure-Paral, then go south (west is a dead end). Two doors to take here – the west one leads to 4 treasures but 3 are empty. The treasure though is a Grpt-Crown, good for Alys. Back to the two doors, this time take the east one.
The path leads north past capsules similar to ones at the academy. Take the northeast route for the door, then you are on upper rafters it seems. Go straight south for a Ceramic Sword aka Crmc-Sword. This is a powerful weapon for Chaz. Work your way southwest and you will see an Antidote as you go. Follow the path to Professor Holt!
Professor Holt made it here with a Numan named Rika. This is the Bio-plant for bio engineering established a 1000 years ago. Motavia is in trouble as the systems around the planet cannot even handle the minimal conditions for survival so they must be shut down, but you must shut down Nurvus which only Demi can do. But Zio knows this so he has Demi imprisoned at Zio’s Fort, so you must rescue her. Thus the party is off, with Rika joining. She is an agile fighter who should go into battle with two claws at all times. Her physical prowess rivals that of even Chaz going through the game. Also, she can cast some healing magic.
Nalya
Travel northwest of Zema to the village of Nalya. A meteorite fell northwest of town and destruction hit the town. Several houses have been taken out completely or lost the roof.
Wreckage
You should explore the Wreckage northwest of Nalya. It is optional but highly advised for the items you find and the experience / meseta you gain.Watch out for the Warren286’s, they have a powerful flare shot. The Whistles too are pesky especially when in packs of 4 – critical hits will happen so be prepared for a lot of Res. With a little bit of fighting around, Rika should learn Dblslash in these parts, which is awesome kind of in the way Crosscut is.
Travel northwest (all paths are blocked off) and you will see a door, but ignore it and go east for another door. Grab the CrmcShield and 1500 meseta. Back to the first door and enter.
Travel north a tad then west for a Dimate and further northwest for a door. West some more on these rafters for a Crmc-Knife. and you have a lot of turns to take here. Northeast for a door and Crmc-Mail, then take the northwest door. Follow this long path to a terminal.
Rika is able to access the database. Turns out, this was the space ship that left Planet Parma a thousand years ago. Parma was destroyed in AW 1286.
Aiedo Town
This is one of the biggest cities in Motavia. Best part is, it is the home of the Hunter’s Guild along with being Alys’ hometown. Enter the northwest house to rest for free at Alys’.
Two sets of weapons / armor stores here, but check out the northern-most one near the Guild. It has the best stuff. Fortunately you found a Ceramic Sword in the Wreckage, that will save you some meseta. You still need two Saber-Claws and a Struggl-Ax. This will probably waste most of your meseta, but you will still want to check back here for all the Crmc defensive equipment. Buy as many Crmc-Mail’s as you can.
The guild is just north of here. Alys Brangwin is at the top for most hunts processed. Talk to the green-clad lady as she has a case open – The Ranch Owner. Evidently sand worms at the ranch in Mile have become too huge and they need to be taken care of. He will reward you with 5000 meseta if you are victorious. Rest if you haven’t, save, then use Chaz’s Ryuka to go to Mile. Note that this battle is very very hard right now especially if you did not have much meseta to upgrade weapons / armor. You may wish to fight this a little later. Anyway…
Mile Village
Talk to the ranch owner to the left as you walk in. Regardless of the outcome, he says go and deal with the Sand Worms. Sure enough, walk up there and the Sand Worm encounters you. This thing is very dangerous, probably wasting Hahn in a hit. Even your others with Crmc gear will have 30-50 damage. Just expend all your abilities like DblSlash, Crosscut, and Vortex from Alys. Gryz should do normal attacks or War Cry if you have it. Hahn’s Wat is very useful here but Hahn likely can take only one or two hits, though this is a prime situation to have him with two shields for added defense (which still won’t help the poor guy that much).
If you wait until you explore most of Zio’s Fort, you will be much better equipped to defeat the Sand Worm. You will undoubtedly have gained a few levels and probably have more DblSlash’s to use for Rika, and the Lasr Sword for Chaz to up his attack. More importantly you can then afford all the Crmc defensive gear to negate Sand Worm’s tough attacks.
Victory over the Sand Worm gives you an extremely helpful 5032 EXP and 1200 meseta. Talk to the Ranch Owner, then Ryuka over to Aiedo to collect your compensation from the guild. 5000 more meseta. No more listings at the guild left, so continue on.
Passageway North of Aiedo
To get in you will have to sneak in between the trees. You will start to see some of the tougher enemies emerge here, like Speards and the Meta Slug. Meta Slugs appear after the Zol slugs fuse together. Both the Meta Slug and Speard can ounce one of your characters with a critical hit, especially Hahn.
Take the first south for a Dimate, then continue west a ways. South when you can, ignoring the first east path (dead end). Continue southeast for the Cure-Paral, then southwest to continue onward. You will exit the cave now.
Kadary
This is a scary town. It is right by Zio’s Tower and the townspeople worship Zio – some of them at least. There is a weird church in the northwest where the worshippers of Zio gather.
Check out the northeast end of town – to get there, to go the beginning of town and go east and north (before you go in the gate). This gets you to a few houses. The northeast one has a LasrSlashr. The bar next door is pretty funny. Evidently Zio’s soldiers are just running a tab under Zio’s name and never pay up. Also, a girl upstairs offers to give you some ‘good service’.
Really though, the best part about Kadary is that it allows you to use Ryuka to avoid traveling through the Aiedo cave. This is nice since you will be going in and out of Zio’s Fort quite often.
Zio’s Fort
Southeast of Kadary is Zio’s Tower. An ominous looking specimen indeed. Tough monsters inside as you might imagine. Speards, Tech Users and Rippers populate the first floor. At the top you will see some Shadowsabr‘s. They have an air slash on all allies for good damage, watch out.
As you head north inside, an invisible barrier will appear. You can’t go through this way, but further north to a new room with two sets of stairs. Take the southwest ones – the northeast stairs lead to a dead end. On this next floor, take the northwest stairs for 2000 meseta. Go south and fall down the pit by thestairs up. This nets you Moon-Dew but you have to re-enter Zio’s Tower.
MAJOR SPOILER AT THE END OF THIS PAGE
So, take this opportunity to Ryuka to Aiedo and rest for free. Buy any armor you couldn’t earlier, and you may even wish to try the Sand Worm again.
Back in Zio’s Fort, go straight north and up the west stairs to 2F. This time, explore around the pit / stairs. To the far south is a set of stairs and another path but both lead to a dead end. Go up the stairs by the pit you fell in – take a right and head through the skyway. This leads to an extremely powerful Lasr-Sword for Chaz. If you look east you will see a black figure, but the wall blocks your path. Back through the skyway and down the stairs.
This time, head due east across the center – you will see another set of stairs and a pit. Travel south and down the stairs for a Dimate, and then drop down the pit for a LasrBarrir. This is another sweet shield even better than the Crmc-Shield. Again though, you have to leave and re-enter. This is fine though because a boss looms inside, and you would be better served to rest up before it anyway. The battles inside Zio’s Fort take a toll. Also you could use this time to take on the Sand Worm in Mile again – all the fighting inevitably has raised your levels. The addition of the Lasr Sword is a boon as well along with the meseta you gained meaning you can buy the rest of the Crmc defensive gear. If you haven’t taken out the Sand Worm yet, do it now before finishing Zio’s Fort.
Back into Zio’s Fort and up the stairs to floor two (again, it’s the west staircase going up). Now you are on 2F, so go southwest, skipping the stairs and pit, then go east across the center. Now go up these stairs up and west through the 3F skyway. Grab the Lasr-Claw for a +7 attack differential from a Sabr-Claw. Rest up, and head to the center for that dark figure. The battle doesn’t actually start until you talk to the guy so you may want to rest up right in front of him.
If you fought the Sand Worm battle in Mile, the added experience will help you greatly with this guy. Not that you necessarily need it against Zio’s fiend Juza, but he is a pushover with the added EXP. Juza primarily uses magic like Zan or Wat for 20-40 damage depending on the character. His most powerful attack is ForceFlash which does about 50 to everyone. He tends to use this near the end. As far as your attacks, use your best abilities. That said, you may wish to save them for the end of the fight when he uses Force Flash so you can put him away quick. Anyway, use your 2-3 Crosscuts and hopefully 5+ Dblslash’s. Alys can use Vortex continually while Gryz of course just uses plain attacks. Hopefully both Rika and Hahn have Gires, since Hahn is quite slow you’ll want to use Rika to heal if you need to direly as she is fast. 1030 EXP and 800+ meseta for your victory.
Stairs appear to the west of you. Rest up a tad and go up. You will see the Android Demi. Alys slashes through the netting holding Demi back, and Demi is restored. To show her gratitude, she heals the party with her Medic Powers. She can control Nurvus, so that is the next thing to do.
Unfortunately, the being named Zio who you have heard so much about has finally arrived. The party talks to him for a while and he is truly crazy. His God Dark Force has requested all living beings in the Algo Solar System. Zio‘s eyes turn red and battle looms.
Zio puts up a MagBarrir that stops any and all attacks of yours. Eventually he summons a Nightmare which uses a BlackWave that nearly hits Chaz, but Alys takes the blow. The party makes a hasty retreat, but things don’t look good.
Krup Village
Hahn’s fiance’ Saya is here but the party has to rush Alys in. The illness just isn’t getting better. Alys can at least mention that you probably need Rune’s help. He has the magic ability to stop Zio and get into Nurvus. Gryz seems to think he is at Ladea Tower in the east, but quicksand bars your way. Fortunately, Demi knows of a Land Rover to the south of Krup that can take you across. Rest up, and go out.
M. Center
South and a tad east to get to the machine center that Demi was talking about. Just as you enter there is a Controlkey. Demi and Rika get all excited and go up to the computer. Meanwhile Gryz goes to the back of the room. Gotta love the little things in this game. Demi says that Zelan is issuing strange commands to Nurvus that is more or less shutting down the planet. Zelan is the central control center in the Algo Solar System.
Anyway, Demi busts out the Land-Rover. Press A or B to get out of it, and go to Item – LandRover – Use to get back in.
Some notes about Demi. She is an android unlike even Rika. Demi cannot be healed by Res, but instead gains HP as she walks on the overworld. At the same time, when she dies in battle she revives at 1 HP after the battle – this makes her a good meat shield at the front of your party. She has plenty of ‘Recover’ abilities to restore her HP, so use them when needed. Demi fights with a gun and has some offensive abilities – unfortunately Spark and the like only work on mech-type enemies.
You can teleport back to Aiedo if you want, to sign up for Tinkerbell’s Dog. The household pet ‘Rocky‘ has ran away. Head to the southeast part of Aiedo, and the house west of the southeast-most one is the family that has Rocky. Talk to them each a few times to get some clues about Rocky. He likes sweet and is fat. Well, there is a bakery in the town of Aiedo. So head to the northeast part of town with the grassy cemetary area, then go west to find the Naura Cake Shop in the northwestern house. All they have is Shortcake for 280 meseta, so buy some.
Make a quick trip to Krup and talk to the green / white clad guy in the eastern part of town. He says the dog hadn’t been fed for a while so it went north. Then get in your Land-Rover and head northeast. Once you see the Valleymaze cave, ignore it and go east and northeast across the quicksand. Further north for a village.
Monsen Village
Once you enter, head to the southeast and talk to the guy by the chasm and an earthquake occurs. Then, a bunch of villagers come by and ask you to fix it. The plate system to control the tectonic plates are north of the village. So, this is a sidequest for you to do while you’re around. Nothing else to do in Monsen besides hear about Termi and Alis.
Anyway, you came here for ‘Rocky’ the dog you need to bring back…so from the guy you were talking to when the earthquake happened, go west a tad and south to see Rocky. Talk to him twice to give him the Shortcake and head back to Aiedo. Just a 2000 meseta reward for this annoying quest, but at least it is done. The shortcake is a reference to Phantasy Star I by the way as it is used to bribe in that one as well.
PlateSystm
Northeast of Monsen, you will find the Plate System Center. Southeast when you enter for a Repair-Kit, then west all the way for a door.
B1 has turned red. Go north a bit, and east. Both the south and north path have items; Titn-Gear and Crmc-Armor. This is a total of +11 defense for Demi. Go to the west paths, skip the south one (dead end), and go north for the door.
West at the upside-down T all the way to the wall, then go all the way south. Enter the door just a tad east and follow this long path and Demi finds something weird. It is a new weapon that she installs called the Phononmezer. This actually takes off an absurd amount of HP to all enemies in battle. Back through the door to the last room, and go north until you can go east. East all the way to the wall, then south and through the door.
Follow the LONG path until you get to the center of the room. Grab the Lasr-Knife just east of you, the Lasr-Axe to the west and the LasrBarrir just southeast. The only really useful item here is the Lasr Axe which is a +7 attack +5 defense for Gryz. Finally, the door to the southwest.
East in the new area for a Stun-Shot for +13 attack for Demi. Go north now to see the main control center of the Plate System.Demi shuts it down, and Gryz is happy. But this will not stop it all – it’s possible you will need to go to Nurvus and Zelan to do so. Use Ryuka to get out and then rest at Monsen.
Termi
Southeast of Monsen is Termi, but you will need the Land-Rover to make it across the southeast quicksands. Lots of Psy gear to buy here. A Psy-Crown for Rika and as much Psy-Mail as you can buy. At 7400 Meseta each it is unlikely you can buy three of them unless you are being nuts with leveling. That said selling all your old equipment like the Struggl-Ax and all of Demi’s stuff will help you immensely. The Psy Crown only provides a +2 defensive adjustment for Rika but her mental power goes up +3. All Psy gear adds to your mental power which is good for magic attack and defense. Oh, and the Psy-Mail’s provide +10 defense from the Crmc-Mail’s.
Everything else you hear about at Termi has to do with the divine heroine Alis Landale from Phantasy Star. In the northwest part of town at the Bayamare Gift Store you can buy some stuff. Buy an Alis-Sword and a Perolymate or two. Rest up and head south for the Ladea Tower.
MORE SPOILERS AT THE BOTTOM
Ladea Tower
Lots of the same enemies from Zio’s Fort are here, like the Rippers and Shadowsabr’s. New enemies like Centaur’s and Flyscreamer’s are here. Centaur’s have a decent amount of HP and attack, but really are more daunting to look at than anything else.
Up the stairs directly north of you to Ladea Tower 2F. Then west and north for a Dimate. Further west and then south for stairs up – go north here for Star-Dew. It’s a dead end so you’re probably going to need to Ryuka with Chaz and maybe even rest up at Termi. Anyway, go back to 2F but take the east route which leads south. Take the stairs.
Oh hey it’s that guy you probably thought was here, Rune Walsh. Even though your 4 person party was fine, Rune adds a dynamic element to it with his magical ability. He is level 19 with plenty of Hewn’s to cast in battle. A smart strategy would be to give him two Psy-Shields. His physical attack is so weak it’s more beneficial to give him the added defense. If you didn’t buy any Psy-Shields do so now or give him LasrBarrir if you have them.
Continuing on, take the path as it wraps northeast and towards the center. West all the way for an Escapipe, then up the stairs. Go south in the new area and east for a set of stairs. Go up these stairs.
Lots of paths to take in this room. First off, go west to the center for a FradeMantl – armor for Rune that is +9 defense +1 mental power. South a tad and west for stairs down. Go north on this floor for 1000 Meseta and Star-Dew. Back up the stairs and east to the center of the room. Go south all the way for a staircase up to the top floor of Ladea Tower.
Go north a bit, then rest up. As you walk up the narrow stairs you see an item. Rune breaks the seal on the Psycho-Wand, but a flying monster appears. One of Zio’s henchmen, this thing is trying to steal the wand. A boss battle against the flying beast Gy-Laguiah occurs.
Gryz should use War Cry and attack, while Chaz should use Crosscut as usual. Use your Phonon shot with Demi and then use regular attacks or heal with her. As the fastest member likely, use Rika’s Gires ability if someone is in danger – or Dblslash. Gy Laguiah is pretty fast as well so that’s not a guarantee. Rune can spam Giwat all day long for 180+ damage. Gy Laguiah has some heavy physical attacks and some likely critical hits. Fire Breath does weak damage and even weaker if you used Demi’s Barrier ability. Gy Laguiah did manage to critical hit Demi and take her out, but besides that will have a hard time killing you. 2500 EXP and 1224 mesetta are your rewards. Take the Psyco-Wand and a scene happens with Rika and Demi. They can sense it. Rune says to leave immediately!
Krup Village
The party gathers around Alys, who has taken a turn for the worst. It’s a hard time for Chaz but he accepts his fate and knows what he must do. Hahn leaves for the academy and the remaining fight are to dissolve the barrier at Zio’s Fort, then proceed to enter and shut down Nurvus.
Nurvus
The terminal ahead can’t help us, so go west for a Wave-Shot for Demi, +18 attack. Then take the east path as it goes north and stay north for the elevator down. At the next intersection, go south for a Repair-Kit, then north for the elevator down.
Take the elevator next to you, then go south for a Crmc-Gear. Return to the elevator you took, and go south once you get out. Continue south at the fork to an elevator going up. Pass through the goofy skyway into the next area, where you can go north for an elevator down. Go southwest when you get out and all the way west for Spacedarmr. Go back to the two elevators and take the eastern one.
South here and take the west door when you can, and across the bridge. Grab the Plsm-Claw for a +14 attack from Rika’s other Sabr-Claw. Then go back and take the east elevator and continue on.
Once you get to the bridge, please hold on and heal up. Prepare yourself. Up ahead is finally the fight against Zio that you have to win. The good news is that Zio can barely hurt Rune at all unless he unleashes the Black Wave attack (even then, he survives it). Definitely use Barrier with Demi to combat Zio’s magical attacks. Corrsion is another spell he likes to use for about 40-50 damage on everyone not named Rune (who takes 1 damage). Zio will use Hewn too, which is a similar effect but maybe a tad weaker. Black Wave is a powerful ability, he doesn’t use it often but it can cripple a character. It’s likely you may lose Demi and someone else. Make healing a priority, Zio has a ton of HP and this battle will go on for a while. Expend your best abilities like Crosscut, DblSlash, War Cry, and Phonon. Rune can use Gifoi forever, and he’s a big reason you probably won’t lose this battle unless you are too underleveled / underequipped. With a Barrier up and a few shields (which don’t even matter), Rune takes 1 damage to most of Zio’s abilities. But heal him if he gets hit with a Black Wave. 8666 EXP is your reward.
Demi now moves to connect directly to Nurvus. She says bye ‘for good’. Demi is able to halt the system at Nurvus, but in order for Motavia to survive the party needs to go to Zelan and change the abnormal orders this satellite is sending out.
