LOL WiWi. Yeah, nothing would dissuade me from buying this game. I guess I'm that big of a fanboy. Also, I really care about what happens to the heroes and anti-heroes (much love, Golbez) of FF4. Yo, Cecil and Rosa made a baby for the new game. NSFW, m i rite?
What!? Zhuge Liang controls even the heavens?
June 25, 2009 at 7:53 am #36143Lord Yuan ShuKeymasterYa so if you really love FF4 there should be no question. How many games get a true sequel like this, especially Final Fantasy's?

Let me know if you'd like any specific screenshots for the site. I use Virtuanes, with no graphical filters, so the look is clean and bright, and seems to be pretty authentic.

June 26, 2009 at 3:03 pm #36145Lord Yuan ShuKeymasterSure Craig. As you can see I don't have any content on that game on my site, though I've played FF3 DS for a few hours. Anyway, yea you can post the pics on here and I can get them from you that way or just email a bunch if you want, I'll get them on the site with your credit huohu

August 13, 2009 at 7:30 am #36147Lord Yuan ShuKeymasterYou play FFI PSP? Or back on NES?
I added a poll to this topic by the way

August 14, 2009 at 1:13 am #36149Lord Yuan ShuKeymasterYes it was me, for the reasons stated above.
You played FFI on NES though, that's impressive, that rendition was much more challenging.

August 17, 2009 at 11:30 am #36151Zhang LiaoParticipantIt's typical but FF6 is my favourite. Surprisingly though it isn't even my favourite 16-bit rpg that title is shared between Phantasy Star 4 and Shin Megami Tensei 2, excellent games.
EDIT: It seems I've suddenly got a craving for older women. :huohu:

Picking between them is like splitting hairs…I agree but I tend to put FFIV and FFV first with FFVI behind those two. FFVI gameplay is great but I like the more medieval feel of the first 5 Final Fantasies over the more futuristic turn that it took it VI and VII.
Between FFIV and FFV, FFIV had the best story and FFV has the best job system. Love them both.
I think the franchise started to go downhill when the games felt more like you were watching some strange futuristic teeny bopper movie than playing a game.

Ultimately FFV has the best gameplay for me, developing classes while you go. Makes for a different run each time being able to use several different classes throughout.
FFIV does have a great story, and nothing is more fun than doing the first half of the game. But by the time I'm a little bit into the Dark World and doing the Edge / Rubicant / Eblan stuff, I'm getting a little bored with the game. I never have those spots in FFV, mostly because of the gameplay and that there's more side stuff to do along the way (many summons to find, spells, even small stuff like doing the pianos and speaking with the bards).
And yea, I can't even compare 10 and 12 to the ones I really enjoy. I would get tired waiting through most of the scenes in FFX.

"Hey I beat the game with <insert job combo>". He just started playing FFV, he's going to flip out when he sees all the possible job/ability options.
LYS – have you played FF III for DS? That one also has a lot of cool job combos like FFV.

In FFVII the summons started getting ridiculous. You could cast "Knights of the Round", go grab some lunch, go to the bathroom, come back, and you still see knights flying around swinging swords.
June 23, 2011 at 4:02 pm #36155Jiang WeiParticipantmy favorite is FFXIII but it wasn't an option, i actually have a list of most fav to least fav
1.FFXIII
2.FFIX
3.FFX
4.FFXII
5.FFVI
6.FFV
7.FFIV
8.FFIII
9.FFI
10.FFVII
11.FFCC
those not on the list either i didn't play or don't care for
FFIX would be number one if you got beatrix over steiner(i hate steiner)
and blank over quinna. unlike FFVII/FFVIII/FFX/FFXIII it has meadevel game play as does FFXII
i love lightning cause she is awesome

Problem is I got the DS right around when FFIV DS was out, and then I just never got a chance to get back to FF III. Seemed decent though.
Quote:meadevel game playWhat do you mean?
Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles on there lol? Not sure we can measure that junk to the base series, but at least it's at the bottom. So which FF's have you not played?
It's funny, the votes don't seem to add up. Xian Zhu Xuande, Niahak and Zhang Liao all said FFVI, so maybe the poll got reset at some point. Who knows.
