ModeratorI believe it is just the emulator used. In FCE Ultra, the pictures look fine, however, other emulators such as NESten show all the pictures as garbled, non-recognizable, mush. Not sure about other emulators

ModeratorSorry, meant portraits, not sprites*

ModeratorYuan Shao Rom. Lets say pretty much EVERY portrait except those which I believe probably overwrite currently existing ones, IE Yan Liang/Wen Chou/Tian Feng/Yuan Shao. Those ones work, but most others are garbled.

Moderatorfor some reason, I'm getting a lot of garbled pictures in the mod… Does your huge post explain how to swap colors of sprites?

ModeratorUpdated! Updates affect Wei area and some portrait changes (for better or worse!) and… is that Diao Chan in my party!?

ModeratorQuote:TLP…pfff… I didn't have the patience for TLP. It's like trying to move a stack of hay with tweezers.hehehe, yeah i know, but its the best I've got until Niahak works some miracle juice into his program that makes portraits uploadable to the rom via drag and drop menus :)
Also, these are the colors that worked, ironically…

Quote:That's odd; my pictures worked fine for me. Clearly your computer is possessed by Dick Cheney. 8OSeriously, though, TLP is sometimes a bit finicky; I do know that it copies the file's palette order directly (instead of searching for the nearest color); therefore, DoaE requires that the palette be (in this order) black, pinkish, reddish, and white*. The pictures I upload have the proper palette, though…
* Or, for generics, green. Or purple. Or blue. Or gray. Or the color out of space. Or red. Or…
I got them to work and will post the strange colors I had to use in a bit. TLP always crashes though for some reason…

ModeratorOh btw, MiDKnighT, what did you think about Huo Hu's little joke at Hu Lao Gate? hehehe

Moderatornow possible…. level 52! Make sure to update!

ModeratorI have done that, i was just pasting my original to see if you could do it. I reduced color to 4 but the problem is that TLP reverses the colors. It does that with the pictures that ATMA posted as well.
I seem to have all kinds of issues haha

ModeratorQuote:How are you seeing this? You won't really see it with Rebel force and such hitting you as their damage isn't much to begin with.I was seeing damage increases by generals with this.
Take note of damage on anything. If you set the value to 00 which is crit every hit, every hit should go "fzfzfz" and deal around 2x damage. What happens is every hit "says" critical hit, but you dont have the sound fx or the damage increase.

Moderatorswapped colors, and it turned out like this… which is totally messed up lol
Here is my original:

ModeratorQuote:I'll look into it further. It's obviously doing something because it's telling you that you scored a critical hit but perhaps there is more to the formula that we haven't uncovered yet.I thought the same thing. But that only tells you that critical damage is scored, but doesn't contribute to critical damage rate. You should be able to see in your damage that it is around the normal range

Moderatoractually, have tried this and have seen the values changing like crazy, but I'm mad i can't get my picture (2 posts above) to be in the right colors when I upload it into TLP since Feidian doesnt work on my cpu…

ModeratorGot a new one for ya MidKnigT, how do you think we can change the duration of the "smoke pot" which I believe is determined currently by # of steps.
