Moderatorcurrently am using nesten and the backspace key which makes it go so fast i can barely do anything just to grind. 2.0 has decent leveling speed but the cao cao mod seemed to really drag.

Moderatoralright, so repeats are okay, but limit the new words. No wonder when I was introducing lu bu's swine, scum, and vermin remarks it was getting so fussy

ModeratorGuan Suo shows up kind of late in the game, but why is he so stronger than all his predecessors?
The lower INT officers seem to be less useful as the game goes on which makes Jiang Wei almost superpowered compared to the others, especially with his high agility.

ModeratorI got 'unknown key' as well on my windows 7 64-bit. Had to download the text editor separate from the one that came with DOAEditor .94.
Still trying to figure out the proper length of text lines so they don't go off the screen in game.
Also trying to figure out why i keep getting that horrible 'string errors' that corrupt everything.

ModeratorPlayed through the mod and found it quite interesting indeed! I was a little unsure on the game reverting to the ending sequence when you give Lu Bu the Gemsword though, but I understand what you were going for (he kills you?)
I found the normal battles just to level up quite annoying. Aka, rebel forces destroying my party. I just felt those battles just slowed the game down, especially for those who have played it so many times and I have to do lots and lots of pure level grinding.
*It almost makes it necessary to find the hidden items in towns in order to win battles after nan yang unless you level grind until you get Mislead.
*I liked getting Ma Chao instead of Xu Shu. Good choice of dialogue for his leaving the party.
*Liu Chan part was funny :P But more or less I felt like I was wailing on a sack of bricks and hitting the OVERDRIVE until the battles were over. Actually it felt like this through most of Wei unless you 'Retreat' or 'Ansha" those 60,000 people. Again, almost made the game rather slow for me.

ModeratorBeen using DOAEditor and was wondering:
1. The portraits that come in 6 parts that are included with DOAEditor, are those the ones that are used for the reference of what is on your harddrive in the portraits folder or do those letters refer to the HEX values of the pictures embedded in the actual game. Example: 2A 2B 2C 2E 2F (lu bu). -> does this pull from your portrait folder or what is embedded in the game.
I tried using Feidian to insert some pics I photoshopped, but am a total klutz when it comes to DOS programs. I've just been working on not botching the dialogue changes and erroring the .nes files XD.
Also the DOAEditor Text editor included in .94 doesn't work. I had to download it separately so i wouldn't get 'Unknown Key' errors

ModeratorHello. New to the forums and LYS. Been a ROTK fan since the early 90's since my exposure to DOAE. :) Signed up and wanted to get some feedback on a DOAE MOD that uses DOAE 2.0 as a base and edits scenes involving everyone's favorite Feng Xian/Lu Bu.
Things to look for:
*Edited dialogue. Now Lu Bu doesn't sound so friendly >_< (more like DW)
*Edited stats. Now Lu Bu will smash u
*Edited locations/characters to involve Lu Bu in the storyline more. (Up through Jingzhou to his last Shu cameo)
*Devised a way to explain how Lu Bu got so dang smart? (had to remove a character due to balance)
Future wants:
I have played this game through so many times it's pretty disgusting. I have played the Cao Cao mod and found it boring/annoying having the rebels beat the crap out of you and prefer the original game speed/leveling of 2.0.
If anyone would be interested in testing this MOD, I might need some help posting. Thanks
