Also, if I may offer advice about the final Sima Yi fight…this is what I did.
Round 1 (after Gui Huan’ing back, then gullwinging to Xu Zhou, and healing up at Chen Castle)
Cao Zhang = Attack Sima Yi
Zhang Bao = Attack Sima Yi
Zhao Yun = Bei Ji on Cao Zhang
Ma Chao = Attack Sima Yi
Lu Xun = Ce Mian
If all goes well, and Ce Mian doesn’t wear off, here’s round 2
Cao Zhang = Attack Sima Yi
Zhang Bao = Attack Sima Yi
Zhao Yun = Huo Shen
Ma Chao = Bei Ji on Zhang Bao
Lu Xun = Huo Shen
However, if Ce Mian wears off in one turn, Lu Xun MUST use Ce Mian again, but this time, Cao Zhang, Zhang Bao, Zhao Yun, and Ma Chao attack Sima Yi, giving me an extra attack.
Round 3 (barring Ce Mian wearing off) *In my case, I got extremely lucky and Ce Mian didn’t wear off until I had Sima Yi under 4000 soldiers*
Cao Zhang = Attack
Zhang Bao = Attack
Zhao Yun = Attack (Heal if necessary with Jin Xian)
Ma Chao = Attack
Lu Xun = Huo Shen or Bei Ji on Ma Chao
That was the process. You probably won’t get as lucky as I did, but if you play it right, you SHOULD have just enough TP to outlast Sima Yi. Make sure you leave around 20-30 TP after eliminating Sima Yi, so that you may heal against the rest of them.

They see me throwin' fireballs out of my sword, they runnin'.Sorry, I already played the final battle, and don’t have any screens from that, so I cannot show what it took for me to win…and I don’t know if I can find a way to take shots without taking the emulator picture out of it.
I will say this about the Sima Yi battle. I got EXTREMELY lucky to eliminate Sima Yi with 3 Ce Mian’s and Bei Ji on Cao Zhang and the rest.
I can however, put the pictures somewhere, maybe in a Yahoo briefcase, and direct link to them or something.

Party Going into Battle w/Sima Family
Whoa…I just An Sha’ed Sima Zhao and Sima Shi with Lu Xun and Zhuge Liang in two turns. Maybe we have a chance against Sima Yi.
I stand corrected…I used Gui Huan to retreat back to Jian Ye. I’m going to use up the last of my recruit privledges…either Cao Zhang or Chen Qun will get the call, depends on who I run into :P
EDIT: Damn it all…I always run into Wang Can and Xu Huang. I’m not running into Cao Zhang when I need him. I don’t want to have to settle on someone else. If I can’t find him soon, I’m just going back to Sima Yi with my party as is.
The hell with it. I’m gonna recruit either Taishi Ci or the first significant Wei guy to come across me.

…and to answer the question brought up here, Yes. You can play the Xtreme Legends games without owning the original DW game. XL and Empires are stand-alone games, but it’s recommended that you own the original game to get everything you can squeeze out of it :P

The next target is probably either Wang Can or Cao Zhang. Wang Can only getting consideration because of good intelligence and high high soldiers :P
I could technically forego Cao Zhang and Wang Can, go back to Wu, and pick up Zhou Yu so that I can use both Jiang Wei and Zhuge Liang against Sima Yi ;)

I keep Zhang Bao in because of the extra HP. Gives me a 2nd guy to take hits while Jiang Wei uses tactics, plus having Lu Xun around to use tactics as well helps big time :)
