Once again, I only promised five pictures because I didn't realize how much effort translating these to 4-color would be; SNES images to 4-color would be a LOT easier.
That said, you still have three more pictures than you expected; I'll get around to the other two eventually.
EDIT: That said, I have these sitting around from a while back. Yes, they're technically 40×48, but (1) it's not much effort to make them 48×48, and (2) there are a LOT of them.
It's your call; I just think a helmet would make more sense than a turban.

…you DO realize that that Sun Jian pic looks like he's wearing a blue turban, right?
And I mean an actual turban, not the headband that zhang jiao's followers wear.
I've noticed that in RoTK2 duels, a very high war officer may have their HP go down the same amount every turn (say, 99 -> 96 -> 93 -> 90 etc.). But I've also seen fixed losses of always-10 or always-11 HP for them, which obviously means the officer is doomed.
Ouch. I'm designed for mental activities, not physical ones, so I don't like shovelling snow. Why can't we have a good old real-life FIR2 to deal with that? XD
Also ouch on losing the system; right now, my current backup computer is incredibly old.
Here's hoping your pain ends soon, and it's good to hear the project is fine; I need to take a look at my pseudocode and optimize things.

(on a side note, you probably should de-mod the old account for safety reasons, or at least email its password to the current account's email address; the other one's email address is as dead as a DongZhuo-For-President campaign…)

LYS, you want to deal with the post blocking? Well, there's something I've noticed: to my knowledge, ANY two links in an Atma-made post causes the post to not appear; the same is true for other people (quite likely all non-mods), I think.
Historically, the Battle of Yangcheng was southeast of modern Dengfeng (halfway between Luoyang and Xuchang, or very close to it) in Yingchuan commandery. So technically it was in the northwestern corner of Yu province, but very close to Jing province.
But keep in mind that the player will be changing things (such as recruiting nonstndard officers), so nothing stops the battle from being elsewhere…
Yuan Shao was not in the battle of Xiangyang; he was definitely in the battle of Yangcheng, though, and Sun Jian defeated (but didn't kill) one of Yuan Shao's officers, Zhou Renming (or possibly one of his brothers, Zhou Xin or Zhou Ang) several times. To my knowledge, the only high-ranked officer to die in the battle was Gongsun Yue… and we all know what that lead to.
