ModeratorAh, Jumpman… someone actually started a modern port of it a decade ago (and actually got a new level made by Randy Glover, the original version's creator!). Tragically, it was never finisehd (IIRC 25 of the 30 levels were completed; one has the layout but no enemies, and the other four weren't even started).
I also have Miner 2049'er, but IIRC I never got past level 4 or 5…
And LYS needs to look at the code, as it didn't accept this post when it had a link and a youtube, yet it had no problem accepting spam from golflife THREE TIMES…

ModeratorI played Dig Dug on the C64 a decent amount of times, does that count? Centipede, too.

ModeratorDo I have a Commodore 64? Of coruse.
Did I ever play Shogun? No.
So I guess I'd better show one of the games I enjoyed…
(Psst: that's not the optimal way to play. "The peaceful approach really works best. I have not used a totally depraved approach and won. You've got to have some friends somewhere. If something goes wrong, you need a friendly mission where you can go back and not have to worry about an insurrection or something." — Dan Bunten)

ModeratorWell, it's true that the Nanman is nowhere near Yuan Shao…. but either you never said the Xiongnu battle was, or I missed it.
The Wuhuan, however, ARE near Yuan Shao; in fact, when Cao Cao's war with the Yuans finally came to an end, it was because Gongsun Kang executed Yuan Shang, Yuan Xi, and Wuhuan leader Supuyan.

ModeratorChange it to Wuhuan, Nanman, or Qiang, problem solved? XD

ModeratorDon't worry; I suck at programming, so the AI is deliberately easy to understand. Even the "incompetent fucks" (as you put it) would probably understand it.
And I know the pain of having a computer die. I also know the pain of having the backup computer ALSO die before the main computer is replaced. Gaming on a January 2003 backup to the backup computer in 2009 = not fun. Good luck in getting high-quality, low-cost replacements… and in finding the time to play your new games!

ModeratorThat's okay; we're not in a rush.
Hmm… I'm tempted to write up a rough AI for the month-to-month part based on vanilla RoTK2, but our game will wind up different… maybe completely different.

ModeratorUnderstandable.
(psst: you should move the non-spam posts in this topic to some other topic and rename this topic to "WARNING: The spam is back!" or something)
DragonAtma
ModeratorWhile you're at it, the rotk2 thread has eighteen pages of posts, but only displays 1-17 in the index. x_X
I also marked the first spam post in this thread, not realizing that the spam is currently UNANSHAABLE! X_x

ModeratorPatience, young grasshopper; the mods will show up in time!

ModeratorAagh! Facebook! *makes the sign of the Huo Hu*
Seriously, though, I don't use facebook; they've had WAY too many PR disasters, and will likely bow out in the not-too-distant future.

ModeratorTrying to steal my ideas, are you!? XD
(also it shouldn't be hard to tack that on to Gui Huan…)
DragonAtma
ModeratorThe hell? This topic is something like 70% spam, with all of them 4-5 months old.
This time, please actually DELETE the spam posts instead of merely sending them forward in time. XD

ModeratorClearly, Dong Zhuo is the sinister botmaster…

ModeratorShamoke's only real interaction was at the battle of xiaoting/yiling, so it's either there or nowhere.
As for Wutugu, he wasn't that good, but he did have high defense (but highly flammable) armor; if I was including him I would give him lower strength, higher armor than anyone in the chapter (including the chapter boss!), and extra-low int.
The problem, though, is that wu and wutugu never interacted. Historically it was limited to Sun Quan officially declaring Yong Kai grand administrator of Yongchang (which wasn't even adjacent to Wu!), and novelwise they didn't interact at all! So unless you plan on changing history (say, by having Wu continue west to conquer Shu after Xiaoting), it may be best to outright drop the entire nanman brouhaha. Sorry.
