…okay, you don’t have to despair. Really! Anyway, thanks to the miracle of faceless portraits, ALL generics can be covered by these two portraits! That opens up ten, count ’em, ten slots to be used for unique officers! One will be used by Cao Cao, as shown below, but that leaves nine slots to go!
Ontario is on one shore of the southern part of the St. Lawrence river; New York is on the other.

Update: Plans are made up ’til the end of Wu (leaving only Wei to go). Squeezing two forces into Yizhou is a tight fit, so (1) battles will have more generals with weaker equipment and (2) it’ll extend to include Wu’s (retaken) Wu Ling and Ling Ling.
On a side note, some of the unique DoaE2 avatars are better than their DoaE1 counterparts. Which ones do you think I should import? (note that Cao Cao, of course is already imported…)
I don’t have a PS3 or 360, as the vast majority of the good games on them (such as oblivion) are available on other systems and/or PC.
In Rotk2, yes, it ignores distance, but in later games (such as X) distance is a factor.
I’ve seen province 4 (Bing) change sides weirdly in my Li Jue challeneg game (including a recruitment by Ma Teng, who’d need to win a minimum of four battles to connect it to his traditional provinces!
And, for the record, the disgruntled Zhang Song was recruited (kind of) by a nonadjacent Liu Bei.
IIRC Wu made contacts with Zhuge Dan when he was about to rebel, yet he wasn’t by the border…
And although they let you recruit from anywhere, distance affects the time it takes — it’s quicker for Gongsun Zan to try to recruit from Luoyang than from Chengdu.
IIRC, my latest save is Atma030… So thirty quests have been started since I took the handle Atma (Dec. 1997). Keep in mind that I first got Zelda 2 when it first came out, so the grand total is probably 40-45 quests.
…that’s a lot of quests…
