ModeratorWell, you could simply use a gem to represent the wizards and the crown for the Dragon.
There’s still the officer question, though… Gemfire has only 64 officers, so you’ll have to either invent new ones for the DoaE port, or do a lot of repeats.

ModeratorI’ll be honest: I worked my tail off getting that good.

Moderator8/8/1 means 8 Attack, 8 Magic, 1 Life.
And LYS needs to cast Thunder before he can damage the guy.

ModeratorNemix is correct.
Ah, the days of the NES…

ModeratorI use Tile Layer Pro.
…hmmm, I just realized that I can severely cut down on the number of generic portrait parts… but are the results acceptable? It’d certainly open up room for more unique officers (10 new unique portraits! HAH!), but the generics would become…. genericer. Current idea is a flag with the force’s color and either a helmet or an advisor hat.

ModeratorI’m sorry, m’lord, but RotK3 will never be as good as RotK2.

ModeratorLu Bu challenged an 85-war offcier of mine to a duel, and he ACCEPTED IT! Without even giving me a choice to say "no way in hell!"
And somehow I was able to retreat my guy without losing. He wasn’t even wounded — sure, his HP was banged up a decent amount, but no stat loss.

ModeratorI did a bunch of fooling around in Zelda Classic… up until I couldn’t stand half the staff anymore.
Maybe one of these days I’ll finish Legend of Zhao Yun, but…

ModeratorBy the time you reach Velius, Ramza should be able to switch to a Ninja with AttackUp or a Monk with Two Swords. Either one’ll be enough to OHKO (or at least badly wound) Weigraf, and put a nice-sized dent in Velius.

ModeratorGig from Soul Nomad looks like Joey Wheeler with gray hair.
Castile from Phantom Brave looks like Serenity Wheeler.
…It’s as if NIS has a secret yugioh fetish…

ModeratorAh, my favorite gemfire force…
I’m guessing that Ander is Wu, Eselred is Wei, and Eadric is Jin…

ModeratorZhuge Liang probably dstrusted Wei Yan because slew his lord, Han Xuan. In addition, I believe the novel, said that the two reasons he was with Shu were Liu Bei and Zhuge Liang. When both were dead…
And, speaking of overrated officers, don’t forget Sima Yi — it’s surprisingly hard to lose to someone who’s DEAD. He’s had many defeats in the novel, while Jia Xu doesn’t seem to have ANY defeats.

ModeratorDon’t forget Wang Lang and Cao Zhen — in the novel, they were killed by WORDS. Wang Lang debated Zhuge Liang and came *ahem* dead last, while Cao Zhen (who had already been sick) received a highly insulting letter. In addition, Zhang He gets a special mention for being hit by an arrow… in the groin.

ModeratorAha! Now only if if I could find a way to make TLP let me shrink the viewing window to less than 8 portraits…
It’s annoying when you have to edit a portrait (or simply view portraits) and have to set it at a width of twelve tiles…
As for DoaE officers, I’ll be concentratign mainly (but not exclusively) on officers from minor forces. The tigers, btw, will include one each from shu/wei/wu and two from minor kingdoms.
And yes, I have the perfect enemy for Wu Ling castle~

ModeratorI blame RotK2. I wanted a challenge, so I picked the weakest ruler in the game (Jin Xuan). I actually conquered about a third of the map (provinces 12-15, 29-36, and 39-41 — that’s traditional Shu plus Ma Chao’s greatest expanse plus a bit ofc western Wu), and then my save was lost. :(
Therefore, my current game is with Li Jue. I’ve got six provinces (12, 13, 29, 30, 32, 33), and I’m about to finish off Liu Zhang.
