ModeratorQuote:can i see copy of mod? just to you know help with finding bugs?At the moment, I am only finished with Beta adjustments through about chapter 5. Currently I am starting work on Kyushu (Shu) and have to figure out how I am going to send a player back towards Odawara castle and still have room for Sekigahara and the final showdown will probably be @ Osaka w/ some characters everyone loves.
When I get through with those main plot and battle elements I will be releasing the beta for everyone, hopefully I can get it out before the New Year but…

ModeratorMust be grinding quite a bit! Although just through normal gameplay you should easily have reached level 50 (and even 52 if you were careful!)
sonic.penguin
Moderatoryeah you'd better! And how about some updated sprites!?

ModeratorIt's not exactly a deal breaker, but there are a few specific battles I wish we could put that mega-boss music to, at least for this new mod.

ModeratorWhenever you get the latest and greatest IPS with those new agility bumps make sure to post it. I think those item-based attacks arent working b/c I haven't updated Luds most recent modifications.

ModeratorIm an idiot, i forgot to put in the new algorithm. Need to get Midknight to step on it for that one, I always mess up large hex edits q.q
right now all those values read 00 00 00 00 00 00 00.

ModeratorQuote:You can also use those slots to specify non-equipped items. For instance, if you want Red Hare to give his rider an extra attack, make one of those values "21".Gave this a try for a steed… doesn't seem to work though, probably doing something wrong, meh, most definitely.
Changed the value at 2f2e0 to 2C… steed isnt granting extra attack… does it use the same randomizer as regular agility based attacks now or does it grant an 'auto-bonus'

ModeratorQuote:C7 means the bow has to be equipped (0x47 + 0x80). Use normal item IDs for unequipped items. The problem with steeds is that they are too accessible. It wouldn't be long in the game before everybody had a steed and they all get guaranteed 2+ hits. But then again if you made steeds expensive it would be harder to recruit people early in the game.
Yeah, thats the idea, Im thinking 10,000-15,000 sounds about right, that would guarantee regular access around chapter 5/6. Also I'm thinking about upping the cost of recruiting officers slightly. I know this was done to an extent in DOAE 2.0.
Anyways, I have made the former "trident" purchasable in the game for a hefty 25,000 muahaha, but there are increased gold gains.
I did find that by increasing gold gains in chapter 1, it seems to subsequently affect the latter chapters… maybe im wrong on this but…

Moderatorlol, the guy in the space suit was funny. Sounds very spacey with the wah wah wah wah… william shatner lol :P If you have the knack you could probably submit something to OCRemix like a DOAE remix :cactuar:

ModeratorLets see, for this to work… the item ID dont follow the weapon code IDs. IE: a bow which has an ID of 47, but in this code it uses the ID C7? Am I right on that? So… a steed which has an ID of 2C would be what for the extra attack table?
The price of steeds might be going up… inflation pfff
sonic.penguin
ModeratorSo it wouldn't even have to be equipped? Nice :)
BTW, any idea where the sprite for the guy in the house that says "search the area around me" is? His sprite is all garbled… I think it has to do with using a new sprite on some officer ID which I cant seem to locate.
sonic.penguin
Moderatorah okay, so i can fill those 7 slots with different weapons instead of only having 2. I like it :)

ModeratorAh thank you kind sir. And about the music which MS posted about, I was actually more or less wondering about the tag that makes a specific battle play a specific type of music. For example, Im guessing there is some kind of table much like the battle taunts table that displays a specific ID that makes certain battles play certain music. Like a regular boss battle being 00, but ones like Sima Yi's and Sun Quan would be 01.
sonic.penguin
ModeratorYeah, but I'm not looking for the weapon ID, I'm looking for the address where the two values were present, unless somehow I'm missing it in the guide or using an outdated one… It's so BIG now hehe
sonic.penguin
ModeratorAh sorry Lud, I lost the page where it was posted for which items attacked twice… ie: bow and crossbow, could you repost it? Thanks
