I have in fact played other Tales games on PS2 and DS, and I’m waiting for Dawn of the New World on Wii. It should be released in November 11. There’s even talk of a PS3 Tales game, though it’s only rumored.
Most RPG fans were pleased with Lost Odyssee. Not me, since I’m not the biggest RPG fan out there. I found it to be complete garbage.
Eternal Sonata was decent, but IU and ToV are far better in my opinion.
Valkyria Chronicles and White Knight Chronicles look awesome. I really look forward to them most of all.
The Last Remnant, FFXIII, and FF Versus XIII, it would be pretty difficult for Square Enix to screw up an RPG, and I’ve always loved their RPG titles, so I can’t overlook those games. And besides, I’m expecting something grand from Versus since if I’m not mistaken, the game is meant to take advantage of the PS3’s strengths.
I loved the Dark Cloud series, as well as many of Level 5’s other games, and they’re developing WKC at the moment, so Dark Cloud 3 and WKC have lots of potential.
Star Ocean 3 indeed wasn’t the greatest in the series. SO2 was amazing though. And with Square Enix and Tri Ace working on SO4, I see a game with great potential. And so far, I’m impressed with what I see.
There’re also handheld JRPG’s coming, notable ones being Kingdom Hearts: Birth by Sleep and Kingdom Hearts: 358/2 Days.
In the way of WRPG’s, I’m getting Fable 2 soon, and I’ll also be picking up Fallout 3 for the 360 since the 360 version has exclusive DLC.
Too many video games to buy, lol. I just hope I have the time for all of them.
I’ve been thinking of getting tales of vesperia but I’ll wait till it drops price or something.Tales of Destiny 1,2 were both good games so hopefully it follows those lines.
I’ve only played both Lost Odyssey and Blue Dragon,in terms of next-gen rpgs and I thought they both sucked,but thats my opinion.
I liked Max but I think I may of just over powered him compared to most of the other members,but Zylo’s been my favourite.I’ve only played through once so I haven’t tried everyone out to their full potential.
I think the remake is the same but most notably there’s 3 new characters:
Narsha-Ramladus daughter.I can’t remember her first class but she promotes to a guru,she was useful for casting attack and being pretty strong herself.
Zuika-He’s an assasin.I never used him much after the first few battles.
Mawlock-He’s a card master thing(You gather cards from listening to the SF members stories or from chests).He was at first to slow for me to bother with him but I just started copying Kane’s card so he could use desoul instead of a normal attack,which proved useful.
After each chapter theres little side battles which includes these three trying to make their way to join Max.
I bought the gba remake the other day and this games sweet,tho I like the 2nd better.I’m wondering who was everyone’s favourite character’s to use because my party was pretty pathetic at the end.This game is awesome tho,I might have to look for the sf2 cartridge at brothers house,just to reminisce.Also I like Max better than Bowie :puke:
Yeah,you have to beat Luca first then just head to the fishing spot in banner. Then Gremio will stop you.also if flik or viktor are with you they should say something (I think).Also he will be named LcDohl

Man this games pretty bad.I’ve only played a bit of the starting on the 360 up until I had to face an army without knowing how to summon my men but it was fun.Only part I didn’t like was the lack of music.
sun wukong looks like a real good character to go as,whats your opinion on the rest of the new characters? as it isnt released out of japan yet.
Yeah,I hope they resolve some of the conflicts from the early games like the crowley and mazus rivalry and such.Also was S3 and S4 good I heard they werent good so I never bothered with them,Would you guys recommened getting them?
Persona 1 was a good game,when first playing the game I didn’t really take much notice of it,after awhile I just ditched I.Later to play it and find it’s a great game.It’s funny because these same events happened when I first played Suikoden 2(without having played the first) and that turned out to be 1 of my favourite games ever.
