ModeratorI applied both 1.3 1 and 2. Is the address in the guide for adding those yet?
Also, new list with values for weapons/armor needs to be made for the expanded weapons. I keep putting in weapon 19 instead of weapons i want :P

ModeratorPaste the fix here.
Also, my tiger generals don't have 'Officer' they have 00000000000000000000000000000000
Also, for some reason my top tactic is disappearing for officers…. will have to test this one more to see why.

ModeratorQuote:So to use a new tactic, set up the above lists for that tactic and for your officer to learn it, add it to the tactic ID level learned table at 0xE9000. Note that the order you put in there is important. Ie.. a later tactic in slot 0 will replace an earlier one. The first list at "0xE8400–0xE84FF – Attributes associated with tactic" is very important. This defines what attributes are associated with a tactic and if the tactic auto-succeeds or not. The attributes control:Is there a way I can FF this out and have tactics learned the original way? I'm trying to apply patch 1.3 and making the necessary changes but at this point I don't want to be making them so specific (want to use my current set-up) and have the tactics learned/usable by amount of intelligence only?

Moderatorhe heh, glad its working again. I believe I have found a fix to the glitched officer people have been experiencing. It has to do with a person being recruited in forts on the main fort screen. Possibly all my sprite switching in terms of colors and types overloaded the engine as I think the game is only designed to incorporate so much at once. I've found that by moving that sprite say, inside a tent, eliminates that glitching bug. Will re-upload a new version with that fix momentarily.

ModeratorI'm talking perma-death 100%
Quote:– One person is An Sha'd (1/3rd chance)– Loser flees and is his own men are disgusted (1/3rd chance). The fleeing general will lose Qi Shou and Bei Ji status and get Yi Xin status.
– Loser gets KILLED (An Sha'd and removed from the game) (1/3rd chance but this will also have stat protections (nobody over 220 STR, AGI, or INT will be killed unless on the mismatch list) and a no kill list. If the officer is protected it will just be An Sha).
sonic.penguin
ModeratorI would suggest giving it to a character w/ INT levels that would normally make them a heavy tactic user this way in return for guaranteed success, you sacrifice the turn of one of your best tactic users ie: Zhuge Liang types
sonic.penguin
ModeratorOkay, I just upped STR by a few points to make it more guaranteed.
Also, do you have the address on hand to make people in the mismatch list die 100%?
sonic.penguin
ModeratorI have guys with 50 INT and 235 STR not accepting duels on a regular basis… Are you sure they ALWAYS accept duels when under 180 int? Maybe by increasing the STR comparison to more than 15ish??
Also gonna have to find the stat protection to killing in duels…

ModeratorQuote:Gullwing: Like Gui Huan but it pulls up the Gullwing menu giving you an option of where to go. It looks a little strange with the battle palettes but it works just fine right now! Finally! Will this one also be usable in the main menu? Maybe replace the Strategist option with this since Strategists aren't necessarily useful + there is your work around that doesn't require one.
Quote:Scout: The coolest one… An agility based tactic where if it is successful, all tactics (other than Duel, An Sha, or POL based tactics like Mislead) will be successful for the rest of the turn. If your guy that's using scout goes last this tactic doesn't help you at all. If he goes first then all your non-Duel, non-An Sha, non-POL tactics will succeed. The tactic will write a message like "We know the enemy's position". The "scout" status will be cleared at the end of a turn. Meaning it only works for 1 turn. I'll also try to have the person using scout run across the screen to check out the enemy (like charge) with no attack.Sounds game breaking… would have to be a super high TP cost, but sounds cool!

ModeratorSo I was having issues w/ freezing so I applied 1.2 patch 2 again and the issues are cleared up for the moment. I'm starting to wonder if DOAEditor is writing over something…

ModeratorIn ROLB, I only see 3 slots with 00 starting at 4450
sonic.penguin
ModeratorYeah, I didn't put them on. @ 4450 there are only 3 slots?
I'm using FCE 2.2

ModeratorThe officers (which I didn't put in place because I didn't want to mess more up) were Lu Bu (AA) vs. Mu Shun (16) and Wu Anguo (18).
So far I've completely redone the first two chapter and It's going pretty fast since I know what I wanted. It's just changing the story progression, map edits, and balancing tweaks but Lu Bu all the way through!
I remember sort of the time when the bug was introduced. You were fixing a bug that happened during All-Out because some major update was just added to the game. It was around the time of agility based attacks and the like but not sure if that was what triggered it or not.
