I've been working on an FF1 edit on and off over the past couple years. No, it's not playable (esepcially sicne it's not on this PC!), but I can give some tantalizing pictures…

As you can guess, these are from the various editors, not from the game itself!
Ah, the standard "I'm a jerk so I'm be a pain in the tail to everyone who uses a different browser" situation that I've seen too many times. Well, guess what? I can be a jerk too — until that ad goes down, all of my visits to LYS will be in IE7 instead of FireFox!
Well, remember that the Summons item is very broken (I'd say it's somewhere between "Zhuge Liang + An Sha vs Xu Zhu" and "Vanish/Doom in FF3") — if you bring your elader to the boss, pause, and use a Summons before the battle, *EVERYONE* will fight the boss once before he gets a chance to heal or revive. Even the Song brothers can win that scenario!
Actually, there may be AI armies that have someone using Fu Bing and someone using Bei Ji in the same party…
IIRC by releasing Mi Zhu or someone you can have someone AI using the third-tier fire skill in the same area as someone using first-tier fire skill!

Did you ever try exploring the Great Southern Unknown? Specifically, that's the area outside the map. Yes, passwords are a pain in the neck, but some are quick to enter. Try this one:

Any particular reason they give the party a samurai sword before the samurai class is open? Since nobody can use it (save for the bare class)…
Hmmm… do lists of SNES game officer stats count as micro-guides? if so, I have two you can use (one for RotK2, one for gemfire).
