ParticipantLYS, maybe I am doing things wrong, too, I don't know… I'm up to the Cao Cao battle on route to Chang An, but I haven't seen where/how to recruit Lu Bu yet. Was I supposed to be able to do that already? I beat Wang Zhang or whomever way up in the NE, but didn't notice any reward or such for doing so… was pretty random. By the way, I captured Han Sui after defeating the Zhang brothers the second time, so he wasn't at the battle with Wang Guo and Ma Teng, like it seems you intended him to be. What more am I missing? The Cao Cao battle seems rediculously hard…

ParticipantAlrighty, I'll make sure that its the right one and then send it to ya later today. I knwo I sent it to you at one point, because I remember the discussion I/we had about finding that same issue, and how I corrected it… and we both have finished it, I believe.

ParticipantI've sent it, LYS, feel free to delete Beast's post if you don't want the whole email thingy there. I've got it now.

ParticipantNiahak, I noticed that one of your posts mentions the editor being able to move warps around. I haven't figured out how to do that using the editor, as of yet. Can anyone point out to me how this is done using the editor? I'd like to be able to do as much as I can before I get into the realm of hex modifying things, lol.

ParticipantAwesome, glad you got this fixed Beast. Let me know what you think. This was an old rom hacking project, made long before we had the technology to do what we can now. As it is, it won't be finished in this same light, but I do have aims to go back and rehash it with many updates.
Remember, ideally, you aren't supposed to recruit Cao Cao with the gemsword… at the time, I did not have the knowledge to change that.

ParticipantBeast, I am sorry you are having troubles with the game. I have since fixed that part, and apparently the newest version isn't wherever you got it. I, the maker, of course has it. If you ship me yer email address, I will send you a copy of the rom. LYS, maybe we need to make sure we have the most updated one on there. Beast, you will fidn that all the battles are done, and a lot of the text through Shu, I think. It was a mostly done piece, that I hope to get around to finishing up and revising soon. Sorry you are having this trouble, as it came from my early days of messing with the text (first tried removing the event to automatically allow Yuan Shu to escape, which unfortunately worked but removed the bridge… have since figured out the remedy to that).

ParticipantStallion Fury, just a few paces south of the starting village, there is a path through the mountains to the east… if you follow it, it will take you to some of the starting battles…
With that said, I would recommend to anyone playing this mod to hit up the cave south of Xiong Nu for the general and gold. Both will be needed to progress through the beginning battles.

ParticipantLYS, a couple notes that I've found so far… There is a spot a few spaces south of the fortress you first face the Qiang and Hu tribe that apparently houses a Yuan Shang battle meant for much later… I accidentally stumbled upon that one. When Li Ru joins after the new Emperor becomes king (yay for keeping Dong), he still mentions about leading the Yuan army, which I assume is left over from your Yuan Shu mod, lol.

ParticipantJust letting everyone know that this is still in the works. I'm working on it really slowly due to other things that are more important right now. But there is still planning and development taking place.

ParticipantLol, ok, so eventually found my way down to Luo Yang, made a savestate before the fight… decided I didn't want to try that out yet. Upon walking out, I find myself SOUTH of Luo Yang, lol…

ParticipantThe game already has one of the best points of humor in it… Dong min is a 255/255/255??!!!
cabalpapa
ParticipantWhy do I always confuse the bedroom styles of Dong Zhuo with Baron Vladimir Harkonnen? lol

Participant<gasp>! You redid/outdid my mod?! <sob> I can give it a try at some point and give ya feedback.

ParticipantThanks Sonic… I've been reading a good bit of the guide, and also playing around with a few things. I've got some very innovative ideas in my head, and somewhat into planning. One major thing I am going to have to learn is how to change warps and names using hex… that will be my major accomplishment, and will mean so much. I would like to be able to work in new sprites and portraits, but from reading the guide, that may be a bit above me. We'll see. That will likely be one of the last things to get changed. If I can figure out the warps and such, things will be looking really nice. I think some of you will be impressed.
Also been doing some further homework and such… finding a few obscure Liu Biao generals to get in there (basically free-lancing with stats as there isn't much knowledge/info… which helps with some balancing issues)…
Is there a place that lists out the progression chart of the new troop progressions? I'd certainly like to utilize them, but I am unsure of what leads to what.

ParticipantOk, I have taken a step back to redo some work in the attempt to add a higher level of technicality into this mod. I have expanded the rom using the editor, and also applied the IPS patch using Lunar. However, in the editor, some of the sprites do not show up, and the extra portrait banks are seemingly blank. How do I fill these in? If this info is in the guide, please feel free to reference me directly to that… Once I get that part, I will be able to skyrocket along with production.
