ParticipantI did that midknight. They show up in the list, but not as a picture in the editor. Would I have to go into the game to see if they are working properly?

ParticipantOn an interesting note. The editor seems to have overwritten my hex changes related to the exit warp from Lou Sang Village… I had it all figured out, but now it seems to be back to where it was. Grrrr.

ParticipantOk, here is some proof that this is actually being worked on… The portrait is using just basic manipulation of stock frames right now, but besides the background, looks really good.

ParticipantSonic, a couple of questions for ya… first of all, would you mind if used any of these sprites in my mod? (if you do happen to mind, the rest of the questions are null and void) Secondly, are these in a file? Thirdly, how might I go about putting them into my mod? Lastly, do they show up in the DoaEditor so I know which one is looking like what without going into the game and trying it out?

ParticipantI am using XVI 32. As for beta testing, no, not even close, really. While it seems you work on yours chapter by chapter, my brain works in a bit of a different approach. I had all the generals worked out at first (since then, changes in storyline have changed prompting the need for changes), and then I have been completely revamping the map of the game. After that, it will likely be text, and then I will be left with portraits and sprites, along with some minor item and tactics changes that I would like to make. That means that by the time any testing would be ready, the game would be essentially complete. If people have other files or aids to help with portraits and sprites that I could use and figure out, that would be awesome, too!

you guys must have backgrounds in this type of thing… I mean, you describe things in the guide, but it all seems so foreign to me, even with it all being layed out…

ParticipantSonic, I'm taking all this in as mine is still under construction… anticipating seeing many of the same deals… I think I just have a very different building structure than you, which is expected. I will tell you now, though… that mine is featuring EXTENSIVE map changes. It has taken up a huge majority of my time… sometimes I love it, and sometimes I hate it.

ParticipantWhat I always thought a fair effect of Castle would be is a Ji Rou that automatically only lasts til the end of that round/turn… makes it interesting and useful, especially with agility based atatcks counteracting when you'd want to use it (more attacks, or sooner defense?).

ParticipantWow, Hiahak, I think the way you posted it looks really nice, not crowded at all. And this way still provides th emost options for use, depending on how people want to use them. More options are good. If you wanted to save some room, here is the one suggestion I might have (and would actually possibly help more, anyway… instead of information like AP, DP, and possibly soldier count on this screen, perhaps having the officer's hex value here would be nice. If it were able to be done, a little option to click on them for an edit that jumps us to that officer in the officer tab might be cool, too. So, instead of soldier, AP, and DP, i vote for hex value and possibly an edit button that jumps us to their part in the officer tab. Otherwise, the information you have shown above is awesome!
