ModeratorOld old jin xuan mod probably should not be listed; it’s THAT obsolete.

Moderator…do we have any space free in memory? I have a feeling that outright removing an officer and rearranging everything as needed takes a lot more space than simply setting memory value X to officer Y.
So the way I see it, go with two events:
Event 1: Set memory spot X to officer Y.
Event 2: Delete the officer in spot X.Then we can have a few dozen of tiny Event 1, and one of large event 2… letting us remove a few dozen officers as needed. Hell, we could do the same to sleep/wake officers — in the vanilla version, say, do this:
(1) Sima Shi, Sima Zhao, etc. set to the Wei area and originally not available.
(2) When Sima Yi has a sudden case of LuBuism, run the “make officer active” event on them.
(3) At the same time, run the “officer vanishes” event on Cao Ang, Guo Jia, etc.All we’d need to do is make the event keep them active if they’re in the party.

ModeratorThat’s why you give them fixed soldiers, peng.
Cao Zhen and his 2000 soldiers are useful if you get him when your army has only 1200 soldiers, but by the time you have 3200 soldiers, Cao Zhen is off to the billeting.
And if you want someone to last longer, give them a rising-but-not-too-quickly-rising soldier count. Zhang He’ll keep up with Sima Yi and such in soldiers, but as he gets old, you can cut back his soldier counts like so:
Sima Yi | Zhang He
1000 | 1000
1500 | 1500
2000 | 1900
2500 | 2100
3000 | 2300
4000 | 2500Obviously people can keep using Zhang He as he ages (just as you could take vanilla’s Song Yong to fight Sun Quan just for laughs), but if Chen Tai has similar stats and twice as many soldiers…

ModeratorTo be fair, we’ve had this problem for a while now; months at least.
But I thought it was just me; apparently not!
DragonAtma
ModeratorDon’t worry; I suck at programming myself!
So events will be designed in a way that even a nonprogrammer can make them.
DragonAtma
ModeratorOr just make the enemies stronger. Zhuge Liang, Jiang Wei, Zhao Yun, Lu Xun, and such can make multiple appearances…
DragonAtma
ModeratorNot sure how to change things, but the browser sticky post background seems to be #ffffe0 for me.
My advice? Change it to #103060 or something.

ModeratorSometimes posts go through quickly.
Sometimes they take a minute or two.
Sometimes they take so long the resulting page won’t load and you have to checked if your post made it or not.…so it’s a bit like an An Sha against someone with decent int, I guess…
DragonAtma
ModeratorIndeed; if someone else wants to help out, adding us on your aim equivalent is a must!
DragonAtma
ModeratorKeep in mind that there’s the NES game L’Empereur starring, well, Napoleon; you could grabs portraits from that for a Napoleon mod.
DragonAtma
ModeratorOn a side note, gray-on-white is a bit hard to read. It may be best to darken the text somewhat…
Remember, LYS, my suggestion is so good that the board gave me 28 points for it!

ModeratorThe point of soldiers? Bragging rights, of course!
Seriously, though, it’s similar to a postcount… although if LYS tinkers with it, it’ll reflect how respected and awesome someone’s actions were.

ModeratorTotally understandable; spamming, however, should not give a positive effect! XD
And, of course, feel free to edit the numbers to whatever you feel is appropriate.
Remember, 1291 replies at 28 soldiers each is an army of 36,148 soldiers. The world’s not about to end, so we shouldn’t have final boss-ish soldier amounts! XD
DragonAtma
ModeratorAha! So all you need to do to get lots of soldiers is to spam the forums!
…my suggestion? Start everyone with 100 (or 314!) soldiers, and do something like this:
You report spam, action is taken: +5
Someone else favorites your topic: +5
Someone else replies to your post: +2
Someone else replies in your topic, they haven’t posted there before: +5
Someone else replies in your topic, they posted there before: +1
You post in someone else’s topic: -1
Someone unfavorites your topic: -5
Start new topic: -5
You report spam, but no action is taken: -10
Your post is deleted by mods: -25
You are tempbanned: -100
You are permabanned: -500
You are a spambot: -65535-

Go with someone nobody will expect, like Napoleon.
